ADDITIONAL PARKING: Thank you 4G Electric and Mingo's Barber Shop for opening up your parking space for our classes each night after 5!

LEGACY — Without warning, Hundley is under construction directly in front of the gym as of this morning. Right now (and this could change, we have no idea of the plans), the west entry to our parking lot is open. The parking situation is not optimal however because of the limited space to maneuver so PLEASE use extreme caution when entering and exiting. We are open regular hours though!

Also, please be cognizant of our neighbor next door (Cozy’s) and do not take up all parking in front of their business, especially before 7 pm.

Available parking as of now looks to be as follows:

- Limited space directly in front of the gym and Dallas Boxing (use caution because of the tight spaces)
- Grassy area west of the gym (under the trees)
- Across Hundley at LCMUA (red building)
- East side of the gym on Lakeview
- Across Hundley at 4G Electric (Blue House to the left of LCMUA)
- Across Hundley at Mingo's Barber Shop (Gray Building to the right of LCMUA)

All options should be fairly accessible throughout this construction. We are looking forward to having this done!

Thank you for continuing to support us throughout. We realize it has not been easy to reach us. From the dusty cars, to muddy parking lots to closed roads and now this…you’ve stuck with us and we are grateful.

We can see a light at the end of the tunnel at least for our little corner of Lake Dallas!

We have more and more dads, bonus dads, and grandfathers joining the fun during our kids classes offered Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday.

What an awesome way to stay connected! Beginner classes run 6-7 pm on Monday & Wednesday or 4:30-5:30 pm on Tuesday & Thursday.

🥊 AMATEUR BOXING and ROY JONES, JR are coming to Lake Cities! 🥊

We’re proud to announce the Gloves Up for Good Amateur Boxing Showcase, happening October 10, 2026, at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth.

This event marks a major milestone for Legacy Boxing Gym — and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of Oakmont Country Club, who has partnered with us to bring this vision to life. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to our gym, our youth, and our mission. Legacy Boxing Gym is a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring young people through boxing — helping them become champions inside the ring and in life.

2026 has been a challenging year for Legacy and many others in our community. We’ve been knocked down, but never out. Legacy always gets back up — and this show is proof!

I’m excited to share a little more about the story behind Legacy Boxing Gym and why this gym means so much to me.

I’m not always comfortable speaking or being on camera, but I hope this video helps people understand why I started a nonprofit boxing gym.

Boxing has been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. My family did not have much money growing up, and I would not have been able to box if we had to pay the prices many families face today.

That is why keeping Legacy affordable is so important to me. We are not just teaching boxing. We are teaching discipline, responsibility, confidence, and how to make good decisions in life.

My life has not always been easy, but I believe every challenge I faced helped prepare me for this purpose and for the opportunity to lead Legacy Boxing Gym.

We have some exciting things coming, and I hope many of you will join us on this journey.

Come hang out with us Monday at Legacy Boxing Gym.

We will have Open Gym from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, and then starting at 7:00 PM we will be hosting a USA soccer watch party.

We have a projector and projector screen set up, so come watch the game with us at the gym. Bring a dish for potluck or bring some non-alcoholic drinks to share.

This is a great chance to come by, check out the gym, meet some of our boxers, and meet other people from the community.

It is 4th of July weekend, and no matter where we come from, we are all Americans. Let’s come together, support our country, and cheer on Team USA.

Coach Rich proudly served 6 years in the Army Reserves, and Legacy Boxing Gym has always believed in building community, discipline, and respect inside and outside the ring.

Everyone is welcome. Come by, bring the family, and watch the game with us.

We’ve had the opportunity to put this ring up for a lot of events and been able to make some super cool ideas come to life. Today just might be our favorite yet!
