Please join us in welcoming Jennifer to the Village Kids Teaching Faculty! Jen has extensive teaching experience, including in public schools and as a Adjunct Professor of Dance at Sonoma State University, and we are thrilled she is joining us in teaching dance in our Village Kids programs through our partnerships with Moraga and Lafayette Schools.
Jennifer Meek Satoh is an Embodiment Coach, Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist, and Somatic Dance Instructor with more than two decades of professional experience in dance, yoga, and mindfulness practices. She holds a BFA in Dance, is certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and has additional training in self-myofascial release and Somatic Integrative Trauma Therapy.
Jennifer believes that all people can thrive when supported in mind, body, and spirit. She is grateful to share these profound practices with others.
The Village Dance programs focus on building confidence, creative movement through a playful exploration of dance styles, music, rhythm, and movement from around the world. Rooted in creative movement and age appropriate technique, students are encouraged to explore, improvise, express themselves, and most importantly, develop their own unique relationship with dance while learning dance history, cultivating a cultural fluency and appreciation for the art of dance overall.
