The University of La Verne, a NCAA Division III Member Institution, thrives on providing an engaging diverse athletics’ community focusing on progressive growth while creating a challenging competitive environment with equitable opportunities. Intercollegiate athletics has been an integral and celebrated aspect at the University of La Verne and has established prominence at the highest levels. La Verne boasts a total of 15 team and individual national championships and over 70 conference titles. In addition, 10 La Verne student-athletes have won national player of the year awards and five coaches have been named national coaches of the year. In 2014, La Verne placed 37th among 326 NCAA Division III schools in the prestigious Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, an award given annually to colleges across the United States with the the most success in athletic program.
