🌊 La Jolla Cove Access update 🌊
Future public meetings:
- La Jolla Parks and Beaches Sept. 28
- CA Coastal Commission Meeting Oct. 7-9
- La Jolla Town Council Oct. 8
📸 Want to get a photo of our wildlife without stressing them out? Try using the rule of thumb:
👍 Hold out your thumb at arm’s length. Can you completely cover the sea lion with your thumb? If not, you’re standing too close!
🤳🏽 If a sea lion lifts its head, stares at you, or barks it’s a sign they need space. Use your phone’s zoom lenses, keep your distance, and respect these animals so we can all enjoy them in their natural habitat.
📣Report harassment to NOAA: if you see someone disturbing seals or sea lions (looking up, growling, moving away) or attempting to pet or injure an animal: Document it and call the NOAA hotline to report the situation as this constitutes harassment under the MMPA.
☎️Animal Rescue Hotline:
Seaworld Rescue 1-800-541-SEAL (7325) or 619-455-0709
Email [email protected]
☎️Non-pinniped rescues:

☎️Report a Violation:
