In 24 hours, we will crown our ninth Eliminator champion of 2026. We are currently at our 128 competitor cap. We will be contacting waitlist bowlers if we get any drops today. Bowlers that do not have a spot that are still wanting to bowl can come in early and get a walk-in ticket. As always there should be a small number of drops (people that don't show) on tournament day. The number of no-shows ranges from 6 to 12. Bowlers wanting to participate in the tournament this Sunday via a walk-in, the following is recommended:
*Show up around 820am on Sunday.
*Go to the front of the line and request a numbered walk-in ticket.
*Walk-ins can join the pre-registered line at 930 am and will be
given a place to the event in numbered order should any spots become available.
*The check-in line for pre-registered bowlers is open from 830am-930am (if we are ready to go, check-in may open a few minutes earlier).
*Pre-registered bowlers that are not in line by 930am forfeit their place and will be checked in with all bowlers in order (till we fill 128). If you are pre registered, please be on time so you don't lose your place (arriving after 930 am will run you this risk).
If you are new to the tournament make sure to bring your USBC card/number for average verification. Message Marcus Battiest if you have any questions or if you are a pre-register that is not going to make it tomorrow (so I can open spots up for waitlist bowlers).
*I will usually be asleep by 10 pm the night before a tournament so messages and emails will probably not be answered after that time. Notifying us that you aren't bowling after 5pm today will not be considered proper notification for waitlist bowlers and will cause said bowlers to be added to a running list we have. Bowlers on that list with this repeated behavior may lose their ability to pre-register for future events. Have a great day and we'll see you tomorrow for TBE event #9! 🙂

Remember, all results and points are posted on the website within two days of each event if you want the most up-to date results. Happy Wednesday everyone. OPEN QUESTION!:

I've started getting prepped for January 10th's Invitational tournament. Our normal format has been 3 games qualifying with the top 20 or 24 (depending on size of field) advancing to roll 5 games of match play. People seem to enjoy this format but it made me curious. Would bowlers prefer to have a longer qualifying portion? Not a longer tournament, but just to extend the qualifying one game and shorten the match play one game (4 game qualifier/4 game match play). Doing this would take approximately an extra $200 out of the tournament prize fund because between 40 and 52 bowlers would be bowling an additional game. Let us know your thoughts. I will be consulting with other bowlers as well at our local center and other bowlers before making a decision. NOTE: Simply adding an additional game to the qualifier is not an option because if a bowler goes wire to wire and bowls in both stepladder matches they are already bowling 10 games and there have been a few people that won that have told me that was the limit to how many games they could or ever had bowled :) Again, let me know your thoughts. After August 30th's Eliminator, we have another bowler that has thrown their name in the hat for the end of the year cash awards. We have 2 separate drawings for members that support our amazing sponsors, each worth at least $250 apiece. Remember, there are two ways members can get in these drawings. Pre-registration for September 20th is currently open for members only. Pre-registration for all bowlers will open on Wednesday, September 2nd. This will be the process for the last 4 events of the year so that all TBE members who are playing for player of the year and invitational tournament points have every opportunity to get said points. Congratulations going out to Arica Hall, winning her 1st Beast Eliminator title!! With the title came the 1st place prize of $815 and a custom jersey from sponsor Strike 12 Creations. Chason Hou was this month's runner-up, winning $500. We had another great tournament with 120 bowlers. In total pots, places, brackets and the ball we had another great prize fund of over $10,900. A couple lane breakdowns has us scrambling but thanks to all the bowlers and spectators for their patience and understanding of the situation. Thanks to my wife Jenn for running score tabulation, Ed Saleh for running brackets, and Ken Maxey Jr for running lane assignments. Full results will be on the website in the coming days. NEXT EVENT SEPTEMBER 20TH! Pre-registration for that event opens tomorrow for members. No member pre-registration will open on Wednesday. As we near the end of the season, this is what we do to ensure all members have the opportunity to earn points necessary for the end of the year Invitational.
