Gator is wrapping up his 30 days here, and today his mom came out to visit him. 🥰

She hopped on Monarch and we got to enjoy the prettiest trail ride together. Perfect weather, good horses, and such a nice way to spend one of Gator’s last few days here before heading home. ❤️

I’m going to miss having this handsome bay boy around!

From baby b***y scratches to the Keeneland sales ring 🥹🤍

I got to be there for so many of her firsts. I halter broke her, taught her to lead, stand tied, mind her manners, and helped turn that fuzzy little baby into the beautiful yearling she is now.

Watching her walk through the ring at Keeneland was such a surreal full-circle moment. You spend so much time teaching these babies how to navigate the world, and then one day you watch them head off to start a whole new chapter.

I just hope wherever life takes her next, she’s loved endlessly… and that somebody figures out very quickly that b***y scratches are absolutely mandatory. 🥹🐴🤍

Pardon the outfit 🤣 We had just gotten home from Keeneland, where I was watching some of the Thoroughbred babies I raised sell. We went straight to the barn just to feed, but apparently I’m incapable of just feeding when there’s a mustang standing there begging to be messed with. 🥰

Meet Ursula 🖤

Ursula is a facility-born dark bay mare originally from the Pancake HMA, and she is an absolute UNIT.

She has a big, gorgeous trot, a super regal presence, and somehow manages to pair all that size and drama with a ridiculously chill personality.

And did I mention she’s huge? 😂 She’s pushing 16hh, if not already over it, at only 4 years old, which makes her one seriously impressive mustang mare.

I’m excited to get to know this giant girl and see what she turns into. She will be available once she's completed some training.

Meet Clownfish, aka Fish 🐟🤍

Fishy is a 13hh BLM mare from Maverick Medicine, and she is just about as cute as she could be.

I’m not totally sure what the plans are for her yet, but so far she seems to have a really great brain. She’s been taking everything in stride, staying thoughtful, and giving me that “this one could be fun” feeling.

For now, we’re just getting to know each other and seeing what direction she wants to go.

Gudrat’s progress has been one of my favorite transformations to watch. 🖤

When Goodie first arrived, he was tense, extremely studdy, and couldn’t safely be around other horses. He would even climb fences trying to get to them.

Now, he’s relaxed, respectful, thoughtful, and can happily exist around other horses without feeling like he has to lose his mind.

This is why I love working with stallions. The goal isn’t to make them less of a stallion. It’s to teach them how to be around other horses, stay connected to their handler, and make better decisions.

His owner picked him up today. It was bittersweet watching him behave himself walking all the way out to the trailer- something he would not have done when he arrived.
