🇺🇸JSC FUNDRAISER🇺🇸
Since 2018, CrossFit Kokomo has proudly hosted a 24-hour, round-the-clock fundraiser to support Jackson Street Commons, a 27-unit housing facility that provides permanent housing and supportive services to homeless Veterans in Howard County. Many of these Veterans arrive with little more than a roof over their head. Our mission is simple: to provide a renewed sense of belonging, dignity, and purpose and remind them that their community has not forgotten them.
This year, we’re changing things up slightly while keeping workouts at the core of what we do. For 24 straight hours, our athletes and community will alternate between HERO WODS and for the first time ever, a 6.47 mile ruck march from CrossFit Kokomo to Jackson Street Commons while carrying an American flag, all military service branch flags, and a custom flag of the sponsored hour.
Over the full event, our community will complete 16 HERO WODs and 8 ruck marches. HERO WODs honor service men and women who have given their lives protecting our freedoms, while each ruck takes participants through the city of Kokomo directly to Jackson Street Commons, a true physical reminder of who we are doing this for. The flow will be two HERO WODS, followed by a ruck march, and repeated for 24 hours.
If your business, organization, or you personally wish to sponsor a HERO WOD, Ruck March, or multiple hours, please reach out to Kevin Jewell at [email protected] or call/text at (765) 860-0591. Together, we can show our Veterans we are here for them, when they were here for us. Thank you for your consideration and God Bless.
Support. Empower. Serve.
