Just a reminder the seymour baseball camp is coming up

🌬️ Dugout Fan Reminder! 🌬️

Our new dugout fans are officially up and running!

The power switch is located directly on each fan. If it isn't on when your team arrives, feel free to switch it on and enjoy the extra breeze during your game or practice.

When you're finished, please remember to turn the fan back off. Since the fans are powered by solar, turning them off when they're not in use allows the battery to recharge so the next team can enjoy them too.

Meet the Board

Hey everyone. My name is John Lane and I am proud to be the President of the Bower Field Legacy Association

I've been at Bower for almost 20 years now as I began as an assistant coach for a year before becoming a Head Coach and starting the Bower Bulldogs.

Had the honor and privilege of coaching all four of my sons at the ballpark as well as several other amazing players.

Since 2021 I have served as the ballpark President after being voted in and being re-elected last year.

The simplest way to define my position is I am responsible for the overall programming and operations at the ballpark.

So basically anything that needs done or needs assistance with I gladly do my part.

My wife Jeana assists at the Triple Play Cafe. Our twins sons Kevin and Kyle are the longest serving umpires at the Ballpark with nearly 10 years of experience.
Our younger two, Sean and Ethan, have started getting their feet wet as umpires and you may have seen them on the weeball fields.

For many years Bower Field gave my boys and my family countless memories. And sometimes those are some of life's greatest memories.

So I serve as President because I want to be able to preserve that tradition. I want this ballpark to be able to give to countless others what it has given to us: a home away from home, a place you look forward to going to as we get to watch these players live their best lives.

I am very proud of the family aspect of our ballpark. As founder and tournament director for Bring the Thunder for Childhood Cancer I'm always so thankful of how our community supports this special cause.

The Ballpark is so much more than it appears to be.

Outside of the ballpark I work full time as a Dojo Training Leader at DENSO. So that means my typical day is being at work, going home just long enough to change clothes and heading to the ballpark.

Every year since 1994 I have operated a fireworks business, so very appropriate that my day for the meet the board is on July 4th 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🎆🎇

Good thing our food is so good at the ballpark because that's my dinner 4 nights out of the week 😃.

As serious as I take my position at the ballpark I also try to have fun with it and interact with the kids as much as I can.

For the past several days you have met our other board members and I'm extremely thankful for their service and dedication to making our ballpark as good as we can. We are continuously looking at ways to make it better and make it a positive experience for our families.

As the summer league games start next week, You will see new additions to each dugout. Along with 4 new fans in the cool zone pavilion. Even the attached bathrooms got some love.

🌟 Meet the Board Member: Kurt 🌟

You'll almost always find me at a ballpark.

Most days that means dragging fields before the sun’s up, fixing whatever’s broken, or jumping in wherever there’s a gap. It’s not always pretty work, but it’s honest—and somewhere along the way, the ballpark stopped being just a place and started feeling like home for my family.

I’m lucky to be married to my wife, Jessica, and proud to be Hunter’s dad. Our Bower story kicked off when he stepped onto the field for T-ball, and we’ve been grinding through seasons ever since. This year he’s stepping up to 10U, and watching that growth—on and off the field—has been something special. We’ve built friendships here that aren’t going anywhere.

I’m honored to serve as your Field Director. My goal is simple: leave Bower better than I found it and make sure every family that comes through here gets a shot at the same kind of memories we’ve been lucky enough to have.

One of the best things my mom ever told me was, "Always look for the helpers. You'll always find good people helping." That stuck with me. And every season at Bower proves it right. This place runs on people who show up, get their hands dirty, and do it because they care.

Thanks for letting me be one of those people. It means a lot to be part of this community, and we’ve still got plenty of work—and good times—ahead.

We hope it helps keep our players, parents, coaches, and fans a little cooler during these hot summer practices and game days. It's just one more small way we're working to make your time at the park a little more comfortable.
