2026 Appalachian Fair Mini Car Rules
4 & 6 CYLINDER FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CLASS RULES
• Must be factory front wheel drive
• All glass must be removed (front windshield optional)
• All airbags must be completely removed
• Doors may be wired, chained, or bolted
o Driver’s door may be welded solid
• NO frame or subframe reinforcing
• Battery may remain stock or be moved to passenger floorboard (securely fastened)
• Required safety gear:
o Helmet
o Eye protection
o Working seatbelt
• Bumpers:
o Any FWD bumper OR
o 1998–2002 Crown Victoria bumper allowed
o All plastic covers must be removed
• NO car swaps — STOCK CLASS ONLY
• Rear frame notching allowed
• 4-point cage allowed
o Must stay inside cab
o Cannot go through firewall
o Cannot extend more than 6” past driver’s seat
• Car must bounce (no excessive stiffening) — will be checked
• NO minivans
• Trunk must remain in stock position
o If “V’d”, trunk lid must be removed
• NO creasing
• Aftermarket/sleeved tie rods allowed
• Any wheel/tire combo allowed
o NO studded tires
• Replacement parts between heats must remain rule compliant
• Bumper Restrictions:
o FWD bumpers only when swapping
o NO old heavy steel bumpers (Olds, Toronado, Riviera, etc.)
o Crown Vic/Town Car (1992+) bumpers allowed
• Ryan’s Rule:
o Max 3 bolts per seam (doors, hood, trunk)
We want to let everyone know our rules for 2026 are for the following shows:
Greene County Fair July 24th and July 25th
Cocke County A&I Fair August 22nd
Appalachian Fair in Grey TN August 28th and 29th.
Besides the Mini car rules they are bone stock which they will be posted on here today
Rules for each class are pinned at the top of the page.
We hope to see everyone at each show this year and lets support the Fair as they let each of these shows happen.
