Brenna Hunley is a Walters State student-athlete that just wrapped up her 2 years of competing for one of the nation's premier junior college softball programs. Brenna brings a strong work ethic, high-level playing experience, and a passion for helping young athletes grow their skills and confidence.

As a reminder, all are welcome to join us tomorrow as we celebrate the life of Coach Dedra. A short ceremony will be held under the concession stand, with an open mic available if anyone would like to share a few words. We hope to see you there. 💜

This year, we're excited to offer TWO nights of instruction, allowing players to customize their camp experience. Attend just one night or both. Attend BOTH nights and receive a $10 discount!

Night 1 – Pitching & Catching Academy

📅 Date: Wed, July 29th, 2026
👧 Ages: 8-17
💲 Cost: $60

Choose ONE of the following specialized sessions:

🥎 Beginner Pitching/Catching Session
⏰ 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

🥎 Advanced Pitching/Catching Session
⏰ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Please register for only one session. Players should not register for both pitching and catching.

Night 2 – Summer Splash Skills Camp

📅 Date: Thurs, July 30th, 2026
👧 Ages: 4-14
💲 Cost: $50

⏰ 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Our traditional Summer Splash Camp returns with an evening full of offensive and defensive instruction led by local high school coaching staffs and other volunteers. Players will rotate through skill stations designed to improve fundamentals while having fun!

We're excited to welcome Bo Cranford and Kaitlyn Walker to this year's Summer Splash Softball Camp for catching instruction!

🥎 Bo Cranford brings an outstanding combination of playing and coaching experience. A former player at Chattanooga State Community College, Bo now serves as a softball instructor with NexGen Softball, where she works with athletes to develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to compete at the next level.

🥎 Kaitlyn Walker is a former Lincoln Memorial University player who has continued to make an impact on the game as a softball instructor with Base Knox. Her collegiate playing experience and passion for player development make her an incredible resource for young athletes looking to elevate their game.

Our campers will have the opportunity to learn from two accomplished athletes who have competed at the collegiate level and are dedicated to developing the next generation of softball players.

Joining her is Allie Jones, a standout pitcher for Walters State Community College who has competed for one of the nation's premier NJCAA softball programs and brings a wealth of collegiate playing experience to our campers.

This is an incredible opportunity for young athletes to learn from two outstanding collegiate softball leaders who know what it takes to compete at the next level. Whether you're working on pitching fundamentals or simply looking to improve your game, Emma and Allie are ready to help you grow!

Tonight, the Lady Vipers took the field with heavy hearts as we played in honor of Mrs. Dedra Johnson. ❤️

We are honored to stand alongside the softball community in extending our deepest thoughts and prayers to the Halls High School Softball family, the Willow Creek Park family, and everyone who knew and loved Dedra.

Today, our girls played with heart, determination, and purpose as they proudly wore their red bows in her memory. While we only had the opportunity to meet and talk with Dedra a few times at Willow Creek, her kindness and genuine love for every player left a lasting impression. She always welcomed the girls with a smile and helped make every weekend at the ballpark a special experience.

Thank you, Mrs. Dedra, for the compassion, encouragement, and love you shared with the softball community. Your impact reached far beyond the field, and your legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of so many.
