August’s final Meet Us Monday is here!!!!!

This week we have Ms. Belle✨🤩💙

“Hi, I’m Ms. Belle!

I’m originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Missouri in 2024. I received my Master’s in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee this past May!

I love working in sports, especially getting to work with athletes, so joining the team here over the last three months has been such a fun transition. Swimming has always been a big part of my family, with a long history of coaching and competing. I swam in high school and have been teaching swim lessons on and off for the past seven years. I previously covered collegian wrestling for On Sports Illustrated.

Outside of work, I love reading and traveling! I’ve already read more than 50 books this year, and I’ve visited 30 states and more than 15 countries. I’m always looking for my next book or my next adventure!”

Happy Meet Us Monday!!! This week we have Ms. Emma✨

“I have a bachelor of science degree in psychology and I’m currently an Experimental Psychology PhD student at UTK. I was on a year round swim team most of my childhood and have taught people to swim for a total of 6 years at multiple pools. I’ve worked at SafeSplash since May of this year and what I love most about working here are the people we help through our swim programs. I’ve met some amazing kiddos and adults over the last several months and getting to help them learn swimming each week has brought me so much joy and laughter. Lastly, a fun fact about me is that I can play three string instruments (violin, guitar, and piano).“

🌊 SAFETY SUNDAY: Learning to Float Matters! 🛟

Learning to float is more than just a swim skill—it’s an important water safety skill that can help save lives. 💙

✨ Floating can help swimmers:
• Keep their head above water
• Conserve energy while waiting for help
• Reduce panic and create time to think
• Build confidence and comfort in the water
• Develop a foundation for lifelong water safety

Teaching children to float gives them another tool to use if they ever find themselves in an unexpected situation in the water. 🏊‍♀️💦

Float first. Stay calm. Stay safe. 💙

A fashionably late Meet Us Monday for our East Area Manager, Ms. Emily!✨🤍

“I was so lucky to grow up swimming and fall in love with the water at a young age. I swam competitively at Pilot Aquatic Club (now Tennessee Aquatics) here in Knoxville and then continued to compete at Kenyon College in Ohio. While in college, I was a member of the 2007 national championship team and an NCAA All-American. After finishing my undergraduate degree in History, I received my master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Tennessee while also serving as the Director of Operations for the women’s soccer team for almost five years. I have been with SafeSplash since June 2019 and I oversee our Knoxville and Simpsonville, SC locations! My husband Jon and I have a 4 year old daughter Greer who loves her SafeSplash lessons!”

🌊 Safety Sunday: Active Supervision! 👀

When it comes to water safety, simply being nearby isn’t enough. Active supervision means staying within arm’s reach, giving your full attention to the person in the water, and constantly scanning for signs of distress.

A few extra seconds of attention can make all the difference. Make active supervision a non-negotiable part of every swim! 💙
