Caving in Tennessee We are some avid cavers who enjoy caving for the beauty that is within. Right now caves on public land are closed down due to WNS.
We are not an actual NSS Grotto, just some Friends who like to go caving and share what we love. The caves that we will be going to are on private land. With that being said it is VERY important that you follow our footsteps. We are members of the National Speleological Society and we follow their motto religiously. Caving Mission On Sunday, This will be a muddy cave and local to West Knoxville, Only room for 10 to 15, No small kids, Boots 3 sources of light required, Trip is free and everyone is at there own risk. We will have a safety briefing at the location. If you are interested we will be meeting at planet fitness at 10;00am sunday 9341 Kingston Pike Knoxville TN Total trip 3 hours. ((CANCELED))) Easter
Caving of Tennessee Club, will lead a small trip locally with a 10 person limit. This is a free trip, there is never any fee to be paid, we are a group of friends. This is a very short Cave, there is a very small portion to crawl at the end. This is a beginner cave along side of the highway. We will require three sources of light and helmet, possibility to get wet. It is through Cave so it is expected to take 45 min to get through. It is a horizontal cave so there will be no climbing only crawling.
