Wondering if we'd be back this month? No worries! We didn't have class today but rest assured, we have programming running all September! 🏵

Like so many others, we have been mourning the loss of Dolly Parton and in her honor we wanted to start the month off right by celebrating her incredible legacy and amazing impact. We will be joining our good friends Cattywampus Puppet Council to teach and dance as part of their What Dolly Did For Me Parade! Dolly Parton embodied the kind of community care and creative freedom that we strive everyday to emulate and we want to give the give the gift of joyful movement to remind everyone to live like Dolly would have wanted them to! 🦋

For our regularly scheduled programming, catch us at our first class this month on the second Tuesday, September 8th, and learn some new choreo at Hip Hop w/ Wes! Next, finally master the moves you've always wanted to on September 15th at Technique w/ Tyler! After that, begin your breaking journey at Breaking the Basics w/ JB on September 22nd! And close out the month on September 29th at the Afro-Caribbean & Modern Dance Workshop taught by our guest instructor, Dr. Alexandria Onohara!

Whether it's linedancing with us to Dolly's hits or trying a new style with Dr. O, we hope you'll join us in celebration this month and dance!

The lockshop went beyond foundation— it unlocked the core essence of the people, stories, and lineage that went into crafting one of the pioneer styles of what we call hip-hop and street dance today.
