What started as a swim parent turned into so much more. Bre joined our team as an instructor, grew into an assistant, and has played a huge role in helping British Swim School of the Smoky Mountains grow into what it is today. Her dedication, kindness, and willingness to jump in wherever she was needed made a difference not only to our team, but to the hundreds of families she worked with along the way.
While we’re so sad to see her go, we’re incredibly grateful for everything she’s poured into our school over the years. We know she’s going to do amazing things in this next chapter.
Thank you, Bre, for your hard work, your heart, and for being such an important part of our family.

If you've been wondering whether your child is ready for swim lessons, you're not alone.

It's one of the most common questions we hear from parents.

Starting lessons is often less about age and more about giving children opportunities to become comfortable and confident in the water as they grow. 💙

It may look like play, but every activity has a purpose. 💙

Through age-appropriate games and guided skill development, swimmers build confidence, water competency, and life-saving skills while having fun along the way.

That's the British Swim School difference. 🌊

Which skill has your swimmer been working on lately?

We hope your holiday weekend is filled with family, friends, and plenty of summer fun.

If you're spending time around the water, remember to keep water safety top of mind and designate a Water Watcher whenever children are swimming.

Every swimmer’s journey starts somewhere.

From early water acclimation and parent or guardian-assisted lessons to building comfort and familiarity in the pool, those first experiences in the water can help lay the foundation for future progress.

Whether it’s their first splash or first lesson, we’re proud to help support swimmers through every stage of learning.

✨ Another proud swim family moment! ✨

Nothing means more to us than seeing children grow not only in their swim skills, but also in their confidence. 💙

“Always have extremely friendly, patient, and helpful coaches… I’ve seen such an improvement not only in my child’s swim skills but also in his confidence in general!”

Thank you for your kind words and trust in Heather and our coaching team. Watching swimmers thrive both in and out of the water is why we do what we do every day! 🏊‍♂️🌟

Why do so many families choose year-round swim lessons?

Regular time in the water helps swimmers continue practicing important foundational skills while becoming more comfortable and familiar over time. Practice helps support progression while reinforcing important swim and water safety skills through every stage of learning.

From early water acclimation to stronger independent skills, consistent exposure and repetition can help support long-term growth in and around the water.

Every lesson is another opportunity to practice, progress, and build upon previous skills.
