Earlier this month, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers published a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) evaluating three potential action alternatives to implement in the updated Water Control Manual. The proposed action from the EA would damage the trout fishery below the dam. It is open for public comment through September 15, 2023.

As anglers and outdoor recreationists, Tennessee Wildlife Federation is asking you to submit comments against the Corps’ draft EA. The potential impacts on aquatic habitat and the trout fishery below the dam will have significant, long-lasting effects on the environment, economy, and recreational use of the river.

The public comment period ends September 15. Submit your comments at tnwf.org/center-hill-comment.
