The Stormchasers battled their way to a 2-0-1 weekend at the KBC Mother’s Day One Day Tournament, facing the same opponent twice in an all-out battle. After the first matchup ended in a tie, the rematch turned intense fast with toxic fans, rising tension, and Coach Chase successfully appealing the game length to force extra innings — a decision that changed everything.

And the boys answered.

Easton Acor finished the tournament with a perfect batting average and slammed the door shut in extra innings with a clutch three up, three down inning that secured the defensive stand the team needed.

Caysen McDonald earned MVP honors after ripping the line drive that brought home the go-ahead run, sending the Stormchasers into celebration mode and the opposing side into complete chaos.

Carlos Rodriguez earned the Limitless Solutions Tournament Hammer Award after blasting the first out-of-the-park home run of his career, joining teammates Easton Acor and Matthew Wilson in the Homerun Hitter Club and just three days after getting his cast removed from a broken elbow.

“Hustle, Grit, Class” wasn’t just a motto this weekend. These boys lived it all the way to 12U Champion. Thank you Cole Peter for picking up with us!

And because this was a Mother’s Day Tournament, we need to discuss the true heroes of the weekend: the Stormchaser mamas. 💙🌪️

Michelle Lemons… absolutely legendary performance. Watching you smile and wave at the opposing team while they drove away yelling profanities was honestly one of the calmest acts of violence I’ve ever witnessed. No yelling back. No attitude. Just a beauty queen parade wave like, “Y’all have a safe trip home now.” Elite behavior.

Kristina McDonald, I watched you physically remove yourself from conversations the second the vocabulary started sounding less “youth baseball” and more “late-night reality TV reunion special.” The self-control was admirable because I know the Lord was testing you.

Mrs. Taylor Wice stayed planted in that umbrella chair the entire time looking like she was waiting on a margarita refill instead of sitting beside a full-blown baseball riot. Not a single emotion. I’m still not convinced your heart rate ever changed.

And Kellie Vaught… somehow managed to stand directly in the middle of the chaos while still only cheering for the boys and not participating in the nonsense. The FBI should honestly study your focus.

Meanwhile, the opposing crowd spent extra innings auditioning for WWE while our moms somehow kept it classy. “Hustle, Grit, Class” apparently means different things depending on which side of the fence you were sitting on.

In the end, the boys handled business, the moms kept their crowns on straight, and the ride home for one team was probably very, very quiet.

Happy Mother’s Day to the Stormchaser mamas. Y’all earned this win too.

⚾️ Happy Mother’s Day to our Stormchaser Moms⚾️

Today we’re trading the dugout for some well-deserved downtime to celebrate the real MVPs of the Sevierville Stormchasers!

To the moms who:
• Are the first ones up and the last ones to leave the fields.
• Manage the "baseball laundry" magic that gets those white pants clean.
• Spend countless hours in folding chairs through every inning, rain or shine.
• Keep the snacks stocked, the water jugs filled, and the cheers loud.

Your dedication is the heartbeat of our teams.
Thank you for the long days of practices, the weekend-long tournaments, and for always being our players' biggest fans. We truly couldn't do this without you!

Enjoy your day—you’ve definitely earned a home run today! 💐🏆
