Yoga isn't one size fits all. Neither are you.

Six months in, we still hear "I didn't know you were here." So we're asking for help.

If Arise is your yoga home, share this post and tell someone what keeps you coming back.

New here? Three weeks unlimited, $69. Long enough to build a habit, not one class to judge us on. Warm room, easy parking, teachers who get to be themselves. You're a person here, not a number.

Come home. 🔥🪷

Meet Bobby Jaffe.

He'll tell you there's no great origin story. He was introduced to yoga in his early twenties in Atlanta, studied briefly in Houston, and then life got busy. It wasn't until his forties that the practice really took hold.

An active person his whole life, he found himself falling apart — physically and mentally — after spending the better part of two years in walking boots for foot problems. Looking for something beyond physical therapy, he came back to the mat. This time was different. Almost immediately, he understood the mental side of the practice: a serenity he hadn't realized he was looking for, arriving through a simple moving meditation. For someone who always prefers to be in motion, it brought his mind closer to stillness. The physical benefits followed — his feet improved, his shoulders improved, his life improved.

"That is the gift yoga gives me every day — a little bit of stillness."

His classes tend to reflect his personality: relatively high energy. He teaches Vinyasa and Power, trained with Dikla Kafka and Lara Ederer of the Viveka Yoga School. His goal in every class is to send people out into the world with open hips and a strong core — the stability that becomes vital as we age. And music is his thing. He's been involved in music his whole life; where some people find stillness in silence, his mind needs a rhythm. His classes are full of it, keeping breath linked to movement — and maybe a little wiggle.

Right now he's drawn to Skandasana. If you've taken his class lately, you know. Tomorrow it might be something else.

One thing you'd never guess: his hand was featured on bus stops across Latin America, and his profile hung in every US post office in the country for a few years. His post-class ritual is a Dr. Pepper Zero — which, in his words, is a problem.

We're honored to have Bobby sharing his practice with this community.

Wellness Wednesday.

This Sunday, the community is invited into the practice of arriving — without needing to fix, achieve, or become anything. Yoga Nidra is an invitation to rest in awareness, and that kind of rest can be surprisingly powerful.

Zenobia guides the room to notice where tension is held — in the body, the breath, the mind — and to gently practice releasing some of it. The hope is that you leave feeling a little more at home in yourself, carrying that ease with you long after.

Sometimes the most meaningful shift begins not with doing more, but with allowing yourself to simply be.

Meet Zenobia Warfield, RYT 500.

She first came to yoga in 1995, a twenty-year-old new mom who'd heard more warnings about the practice than invitations. She tried it anyway. Every time, she felt peaceful, grounded, more connected to herself.

For years she'd been at war with her own body — cycling through every workout, chasing a version of herself that self-doubt kept just out of reach. Yoga became the one place she felt at home in it. Through parenting, work, and graduate school, her practice would ebb and flow, but she always found her way back.

In 2021 she enrolled in teacher training — not to teach, just to learn. By the end, she knew. She left a career as a magazine editor and found her purpose: helping people use yoga as a tool for healing.

"Yoga, to me, is a practice of remembering. It reminds us that beneath the noise and the striving, there is a steadiness that has always been there."

Her sessions are thoughtful, steady, and therapeutic. She teaches breath, nervous system regulation, and sustainable alignment over the deepest expression of a pose. You'll be met exactly where you are — no expectation to perform or keep up. Whether you're moving, breathing, or sitting in stillness, her hope is that you leave more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

Right now, her favorite practice is stillness. The quiet moments where she can simply feel and listen to the breath — a reminder that yoga isn't always about movement.

Before yoga, she was an award-winning journalist and editor whose work centered on racial justice and community healing. She doesn't see the two paths as separate. Both ask her to listen deeply, stay curious, and hold space for truth to emerge.

And at the heart of all of it is her family — the love and support that shaped how she shows up for everyone who practices with her.

We're honored to have Zenobia sharing her practice with this community.
