Swimming is one of the few workouts that gives you a full-body cardio session with almost zero impact on your joints. The water supports up to 90% of your body weight, so you get all the heart-health and muscle-toning benefits of a hard workout without the pounding your knees and hips take from running or high-impact gym routines.
That makes it one of the best exercises out there for every age and stage: growing kids building coordination, adults recovering from injury, and Masters swimmers keeping their edge.

Swimming isn't just a summer activity — it's a life skill! Here's why enrolling your child in swim lessons is one of the best investments you can make:
🛟 Water Safety — Drowning is one of the leading causes of unintentional injury death in young children. Swim lessons dramatically reduce that risk.
💪 Physical Development — Swimming builds strength, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness while being easy on growing joints.
🧠 Confidence & Resilience — Learning a new skill (and mastering it!) builds self-esteem that carries over into other areas of life.
🎯 Lifelong Skill — Once your child learns to swim, it's a skill they'll carry with them forever — for fun, fitness, and safety.
Ready to get started? Join us at Juanita Aquatics Center or Redmond Pool! Registration for our coming session of Swim Lessons opens August 19! For more information and to register, visit www.waveaquatics.org/youth-lessons.
