A favorite topic for midlife women- the "Menobelly"

And I am trying to say Sedentary not Sanitary 😂

The bellyfat can be so many different things, and different reasons needs different solutions.

As always, there is no one size fits all, and it's not a simple one thing to fix it.

If you struggle with this and need help figuring the road to better body composition, alignment and strength, and also to look your best and feel good in your own skin- Don't hesitate to reach out!

Send me a DM and we will figure it out together

Myth Busting Monday!

So much noice about fasting and I get so many questions about this.
The answer is not simle, and very individually different. For some women it's a great tool, for some of us it's detrimental and can even cause further health problems.

Something I don't mention in the video is that fasting can be triggering for distordered eating or eating disorders. Therre is a rise in these things for midlife women, and this is another reason that I VERY rarely reccomend fasting for my clients.

Fueling properly and focusing on getting stronger willl always win in my book.

Big rocks rule!

Remember the analogy about the professor who put big rocks in the jar first, followed by pebbles and sand?

Make sure the choices you make to get healthier, more energized and stronger are big rocks!

Sleep-quality and quantity.

Diet- enough nutrient dense whole foods and limited highly processed foods.

Hydration-just drink your water,ok!

Daily movement- more is better.

Strength training- compound movements, back to basics.

Complexity is the enemy of ex*****on!

With the information overload we experience, it's very easy to get stuck in all the fitness "shoulda" out there...

I always come back to the basics, like sleeping enough, eating more veggies, moving more in your day to day and compound strength training moves like squats and rows.

The best fitness plan is the one you can execute! Bridge the gap between knowing and doing and taking action!

I am here to give you a program that works for real life and will get you real results. Send me a DM if you are tired of starting over!

Who is busy and wish you had more hours in the day?

Is fitting in that workout, getting to bed earlier or getting the healthy meal prep done challenging?

Of course it is!
The thing is, we find time for the things that are important to us, and just like we are not always fully aware of our food intake, the same goes for time spent.

Track how you spend your time for a few days and see if the way you spend your hours is aligned with your values and the things you want for yourself.

I have a timer for social media, I made a decision about how much time I want to spend scrolling. Super smart people have designed the algorithm to keep your attention and I know that it's so easy to get distracted from the things I really want to spend my time on. Time is valuable and I have stuff to do!

My kids can do some of the things I do around the house so I can go to the food store, plan meals, lift weights or go for a walk.
They will get life skills and a happier mom.

Think about and audit how you spend your time to make sure you get what you want and not just waste it ironing or doom scrolling.

Do you have to spend a fortune to eat healthy?

No!
Think tofu, canned tuna, ground turkey and cottage cheese.
Brown rice, oats, quinoa, root veggies and bananas.
Cabbage, carrots, onions, frozen peas and spinach.

What is expensive is your wine, chocolate, Starbucks and take out...

The one thing you need to spend to eat healthy is time. Plan, shop, prep and so on takes a couple of hours a week.
Totally worth it imo.

If you don't have the time, it will cost you a little more to get premade stuff but it's still doable.

I have plenty of recipes and tools for the clients I work with and can help you get healthy on any budget.

I have said it a million times and here it is again, we are so different from men and women are NOT small men.
The lives we lead are different and getting and staying fit and healthy as a middle-aged woman is completely different than it is for a man.

Not just physically and biologically, but societal norms and our internal value system differs a lot.

Crush the patriarchy by reclaiming your time, hobbies and self care!
You are allowed to do things for yourself without guilt and the more we practice centering ourselves from time to time-the easier it gets.

Who is with me on this and did you ask your partner?

Midlife metabolism is different, but your body still works as it should!

The first step to change is to look at the facts of your habits. To get to a different place, first we need to know where we are.

The second big thing to consider is the timeline. The fast changes from your 20-s and that the diet industry try to sell is not realistic or sustainable so if it doesn't work, it's not your fault!

Figure out the facts of your sleep, nutrition and movement and then change it, step by step.

If you want support and to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be without setbacks- send me a DM and we can set up a complimentary video call to see if my coaching is a good fit for you.

All or something ladies!

Consistency will beat perfection. It's all about building habits that supports your health.

Imagine if you did 10 pushups each morning for a year. That is 3650 pushups. Do you think you would get stronger from that?
