So I’m getting a lot of questions after breaking down the fact that Knee Over Toes Guy doesn’t address asymmetries. People are asking if they can just mix fp with his approach and get results.
Look at this image. It shows the adaptability of fascia in between the ribs of this deer. Notice how it eventually hardens, likely calcifies and then turns into bone? Believe it or not, you have an asymmetrical cast lodged in your entire body that is connected to your bones. You may have multiple ones depending on how screwed up you are. When people train or stretch, they move around these places that are becoming dehydrated. My aim is to not do this. My aim is to train to address this problem because this is where our limitations actually exist. It’s actually hereditary on many levels.
Look, I’m not saying everyone has a cast as extreme as the one depicted in this picture. I will say however that everyone does have a lesser variant of these. Great athletes have less of one and it’s why they get more of their body moving them through space. That said, even the best athlete ends up dehydrating their cast at some point or the other and then that’s where the problems happen.
If you workout, realize that training around these bone malformations might get you somewhere in the short term, but long term, you’re doing nothing about addressing what I’m speaking on. This is a fairly delicate situation, which is why I tell my clients to not do anything other than focus on addressing this cast.
So with that said, if the program is not directly addressing dysfunctions to create a reaction at the periosteum of the bone like we do with our IMAPS, it’s not going to come close to addressing the problems we are. We get results because we challenge the cast. The rest just work around it.
I’ll propose a question to my audience now… How can an industry solve a problem they aren’t even capable of acknowledging? This is why I don’t mix FP with anyone else. Like I said, everyone else is sloppy. I am not. Neither is FP and neither are the people I certify. There’s a difference. People playing pretend and people doing a job. Know the difference. Don’t mix trash with food.
