I’ve been seeing and hearing a lot of kids struggle this High School season simply because they’re put in a new position.

Maybe you’re a setter now playing lib. Maybe an outside moved to the right. A libero moved to a pin… whatever it may be, it’s just NEW!

🚨You will not be ruined for recruiting in your usual position, you will not lose skill come club season, you’re not losing prime film time, and you’re not getting worse. It’s just different.

The benefits can out-way the uncomfort depending on your perspective. Get better at seeing the court from a new perspective, grind at mastering different skills, enjoy learning how to lead from a new side.

Focusing on “I can’t hit hard anymore” - “I can’t even set now” - “my blocking sucks on this side” will only destroy your character, grit, and enjoyment of the sport.

Look at it as an opportunity to better yourself as an athlete, not as a position on the court.

Y’all are gonna be just fine 🫶
