We had the coolest experience last week in Madison, WI. Laura and I were brought in to facilitate a 'Team Culture Workshop' for the Badger Softball Team and we couldn't love this team more after our time with them.
Being back at my alma mater was so special in many ways, but the best part by far was being able to be a small piece of their puzzle in finding their identity as players, young women, and as a team. A special thanks to Head Coach Yvette Healy for sharing her rockstar team with us during their opening week on campus.
In the last 10+ years of mentoring hundreds of programs, teams, and athletes - we've seen CULTURE be the tipping point, in a very real and tangible way. It is truly the glue in getting a team unit to buy in to shared goals, to day in and day out selflessly put 'we' before 'me', and to be able to individually overcome the challenges and pressures that hold each of them back from embracing and thriving in their unique role on their team.
And if culture is not growing, it's dying (a quote we like to steal from the culture king himself, Coach Scott Beyer)
This was an incredible start to this upcoming off-season at 360U. We can't wait to continue with this UW team, with our high school teams at 360U, with our UWO squad, and with the new teams who are joining 360U this upcoming season.
If you have any interest in learning more about what we can do for your softball or baseball team, your coaches, or your program as a whole - please reach out and let's get you firing on ALL cylinders! Because a little TLC in the culture department just might be your secret weapon too.
