It truly takes a village to run our league, and we appreciate everyone who volunteers, supports, cheers, coaches, helps behind the scenes, and makes each season possible.

We’ll also be holding our Annual Board Meeting this fall, and we will have several positions that need to be filled. We need your help! If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved with KLL, this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of our league. More information will be coming soon!

⚾ Umpire Appreciation Spotlight: Tim & Thomas Montgomery ⚾

Some Little League stories span generations, and the Montgomery family is one of them.

Tim Montgomery moved to Ketchikan as a young boy and has been a part of our community ever since. Over the years, he has given countless hours to Ketchikan Little League, including coaching baseball for many seasons. In 2000, he coached the Ketchikan Majors All-Star team that earned a trip to San Bernardino, California—and one of the players on that team was his son, Thomas.

Thomas grew up playing Ketchikan Little League and is now raising his own family here. Today, he's watching his own son create Little League memories of his own, continuing a tradition that has come full circle.

This season, Tim and Thomas teamed up once again—but this time as a father-and-son umpire crew. Having experienced Little League as players, coaches, parents, and now umpires, they understand what it takes to make games and tournaments successful.

Thank you, Tim and Thomas, for your dedication to Ketchikan Little League and for continuing to give back to the next generation of players. Families like yours are what make our Little League community so special. 💙⚾

Please join us in giving a big Ketchikan Little League thank you to Umpire Mike Sexton for volunteering his time to help make our District tournament a success! ⚾👏

Mike traveled all the way from Georgetown, Texas and has 17 years of Little League umpiring experience, which showed as he worked behind the plate!

Mike, thank you for sharing your experience, professionalism, and love of the game with our players, coaches, and community. We truly appreciate you making the long journey to Ketchikan, and we hope you enjoyed your time here. We hope to have you back during the next tournament we host!

Ketchikan Little League needs your help!

We’re hosting the Majors Baseball State Tournament, and with just two games remaining, we still have a few volunteer shifts that need to be filled.

🎉 Congratulations to Gastineau Channel Little League on winning the District 2 Majors Baseball Tournament! ⚾🏆

GCLL will now take on Anchorage’s Abbott-O-Rabbit Little League (AORLL) in the Alaska State Majors Baseball Tournament, which begins Saturday, August 1, at 5:00 PM at Dudley Field right here in Ketchikan.
