We a Nak Muay's we have all one thing in common. To grow as people and grow the sport. Other then in practice/class when a coach is having you do specific sets you should ALWAYS keep 1 thing in mind when you both spar and practice in class. It could be a simple as keeping that left hand up. Or keeping the elbow tucked in. Not leaning to far forward when throwing punches. Or in sparring working that jab. Working your slips after punching. Shield boxing to counters. These are all things that could be on ones mind when practicing. Do keep 2 things in mind. Don't get discouraged if you get pieced up in sparring. Your are going in with a few pieces of the puzzle trying to make them fit better. After trimming this pieces, by practicing ,they will eventually fit. On the other hand be modest and remind yourself that if you do well agianst someone they too could have been working a specific technique which allowed you to perform better.
Things that pop in my head at random times.
Doofy thoughts...... lol 😆

One thing that i have always been open to was open sparring. That means any gym can come in and sparr. With a respectful attitude and open mind to learn from new people. If you only allow "certian" gyms to come in and spar that isn't open. That's closed and tells me your hiding something. Your hiding your students from the fact there are BETTER gyms? I honestly don't know why this mentality is still around. If your a legit coach and haven't bought a seminar kru title... if you know , you know, lmao . Then allow your students to gain that knowledge from outside sparring. The only thing I do advise is to respect the gym your sparring at and respect your coach by showing sportmanship to someone outside and who's better.
Now coaches ,if you allow open mat and you have a certian rule set while sparring then have either those rules posted or make them known to outside participants who choose to sparr in your open mat. To have your students make it an MMA match after getting pieced up looks bad. OR if no one is throwing elbows and you see a dude throwing them then you owe it to safety of the people that no elbow or knees allowed. Not having these rules established is just a SH*TTY GYM and a SHIITY COACH mentality. We deserve better , they deserve better, and honestly YOU the coach deserve better.
DOOFY OUT..........🖐 🎤
