Adult Pick-Up Basketball is back at KCS Gymnasium! No team, no tryouts, no scouts in the stands—just casual basketball, good people, and a chance to get moving.

Thursdays | 6:00–8:30 PM

Adults 18+
$6 drop-in or $50 for a 10-punch pass

Bring your sneakers, bring your game, and maybe stretch first. Your knees will thank you.

LOVE PICKLEBALL? WE’RE HIRING!

Do you know your dink from your drive? Can you handle a little friendly competition before most people finish their Sunday morning coffee?

Kennebunkport Parks & Recreation is looking for Winter Program Staff to help run our Sunday drop-in pickleball program!

Sundays | November 8 – April 18
8:00 a.m. – Noon
$15.25–$17/hour

You’ll help set up and break down courts, check in players, answer questions, and keep things running smoothly, safely, and—most importantly—FUN.

And here’s the best part…

Once your duties are done, you’re free to grab a paddle and PLAY!

That’s right. Get paid to help with pickleball…and then play pickleball. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning!

🍎👩‍🍳 Calling all young chefs! Kids’ Test Kitchen is almost here! 👨‍🍳🥕

There’s still time to sign up for Kids’ Test Kitchen, but don’t wait too long! 🌟

Kids in grades 1–5 will roll up their sleeves and get hands-on in the kitchen — chopping, measuring, mixing, cooking, tasting, and discovering just how FUN fresh food can be! Each week brings a new recipe, new ingredients, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence and important life skills.

A huge thank you to some wonderful members of our community who have been helping local resident Barbara Lyons bring a very special project to life! ❤️🚒

Barbara is creating a playhouse modeled after the historic Cape Porpoise Fire Company 2, and it is coming along beautifully! We would like to give a special shout-out to Gordon Lewis, Steve Slarsky, Susan Field, Joe Frank, and Andres Bloomingdale Jr. for lending their time and talents to help make this project a reality.

And an extra thank you to Keith Nunan for creating the beautiful finials for the top of the building!

Once complete, this one-of-a-kind playhouse will be donated to the Firefighter Park Playground, where we know it will bring so much joy to children for years to come. We can't wait to see the finished product!

Thank you all for your generosity, creativity, and willingness to help make something so special for our community! ❤️

I think the photos will really help tell the story of how much work and care is going into this special project!

Kids’ Test Kitchen is coming to Kennebunkport Parks & Recreation! This fun, hands-on cooking program gets kids into the kitchen to explore fresh ingredients, try new flavors, and learn valuable cooking and life skills along the way. Each week, participants will prepare something delicious while practicing teamwork, measuring, slicing, patience, and more. Best of all, tasting is always encouraged—but never required!

🏈 YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL — GRADES 2–3! 🏈

Get ready to hit the field! The Arundel & Kennebunkport Recreation Departments are teaming up for our Youth Flag Football League! 🙌

📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays | Sept. 8–Oct. 20
⏰ 5:00–6:00 PM (times may shift as daylight changes)
📍 Gilliam Field at Mildred L. Day School, Arundel
💰 $75 | Non-Resident: $75
📝 Registration Deadline: Sept. 1 at 11:59 PM

Teams will practice and compete against surrounding communities, including Old Orchard Beach, S**o, and Biddeford, with both home and away games. Travel to other locations will be required.

Every player receives:
🏈 NFL Flag Football team jersey
🎒 Drawstring backpack
🚩 Belt with flags

VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️
Volunteers are essential to making this league happen! Teams will consist of 7–8 players, and Arundel & Kennebunkport will provide equipment, practice plans, game plays, rules, and fields. If you're interested in coaching, please indicate that when registering!

🎶 That’s a wrap on our 2026 Summer Concert Series! 🎶

What a summer it was! Three great concerts, beautiful weather, awesome bands, and so much community spirit. We loved seeing everyone come out, relax, dance, enjoy some great food and drinks, and just have fun together. ❤️
