How much can you actually cook on one of these? I grab a buffet pan and just shows you.
The Mini Smokeslinger runs a 27” by 22- 1/2” grate.
The Full Size Smokeslinger runs 46” by 22-1/2”.

Both have two grate levels, so the Full Size takes two full pans up top and four across both layers, with room to scoot to three comfortably.

That’s how I run six briskets, split across the levels.

So it comes down to your cooks and your space.

The Mini fits a tighter spot, the Full Size gives you the big batch room.

The trick to clean blue smoke on the Liberty94.
When a firebox runs really efficient, it’s easy to choke it down trying to control the heat and that’s when you get that heavy, dirty smoke.

So don’t fight it that way.

Run enough airflow to shed some of that radiant heat, keep a big coal bed going, and let it breathe.

That’s what gets you clean blue smoke and that gentle barbecue weather… real flavor without oversmoking.

Learn to read it and you’ve got it.

Everybody calls it the Mini Smokeslinger but here’s the part people miss…

It’s the same height and the same depth as the Full Size.

The only thing that’s smaller is the width.

So you’re not giving up cooking depth or losing capacity top to bottom you’re just getting a narrower footprint.

If you’ve got a tight patio or a spot that won’t take a full width pit this is the one that fits your situation.

Setting up the Mini Smokeslinger for sear mode.
You can rearrange the parts inside the Mini or Full Size a bunch of different ways.
For a hard sear, pull the charcoal basket out and set it right on top of the tuning plates, but not all of them.
Just a couple, one on each end of the basket. That opens it up so a lot of air comes up from the bottom and the charcoal gets as much as it wants.
Anytime you want higher heat in the Mini or Full Size, keep the insert in the basket. It lifts the coals up off the bottom so air flows underneath, straight in through those halfmoon slots up front.
