Glove relacing, cleaning and break-in/reshaping service

đŸ§€ Some gloves come in for a tune‑up
and some come in begging for a glow‑up.

The Palomera family handed me their son’s Wilson A450 and said the magic words every glove tech dreams of: “Choose whatever colorway you think is best.”

There’s nothing better than taking a clean canvas and turning it into something that stops the scroll — a custom look that even Wilson wouldn’t dare put on an A450 straight from the factory. Fresh laces, bold choices, and a color combo that hits harder than a summer double in the gap.

Huge thanks to the Palomera family for trusting me with full creative freedom. Their ballplayer’s gamer is now one‑of‑one, and I can’t wait to see it flashing leather on the field.

đŸ§€ Full restorations hit different.
There’s something special about opening up an old gamer and seeing the story spill out — infield dirt from who‑knows‑where, a couple sunflower seeds hiding in the palm, all the miles that glove has lived before it ever came into the shop.

Cleaning it up and bringing it back to that out‑of‑the‑box look is its own kind of satisfaction
but taking it over the top with a lace color Rawlings probably should have put on this Ken Griffey Jr model? That’s the fun part.

So glad Tray found us and trusted us with his trusty gamer. He said he wasn’t planning on playing with it anymore — but man, I hope this restoration gives him the itch to at least go play a little catch.

Catch with Confidence.

June came in đŸ”„hot đŸ”„and so did the workload. Big thanks to the Leiva family for trusting us with a clean black relace on their catcher’s mitt.

Some nights, the game doesn’t end at the final out.

Late one night last week, a message came in — a catcher’s web had blown out during a playoff game, and the Rivera family was scrambling for a solution. No hesitation, no waiting around. They drove straight from the field, still in the adrenaline of postseason baseball, and put that glove in our hands.

Twelve hours later, that mitt’s web was re‑laced and ready to get back behind the plate.

This is what we pride ourselves on at Katy Glove Works: being there when our customers need us most, whether it’s a midnight emergency or a quick turnaround to keep a season alive.

To the Rivera family — thank you for trusting us with your son’s gear and his game.

Catch with Confidence.

Spring ball ended and the shop exploded — summer‑ball tune‑ups, postseason refreshes, you name it. The leather hasn’t stopped moving.

Thank you to the Miller and Mata families for trusting us with your son’s gloves.

PSA for all ball players: Condition your glove once a year minimum. Your leather will thank you later.

Catch with Confidence.

Some gloves just need a little CPR to survive the weekend
 đŸ˜…âšŸïž

Richard brought his son’s gamer to Katy Glove Works needing an emergency web repair. We got it laced back together with some fresh Indian Tan and sent it right back into action like a reliever jogging in from the bullpen with no warmup pitches. đŸ”„

After surviving the weekend battle, the glove came back to us during the off weekend for the full treatment — complete relace and ready for many more innings ahead.

Big thanks to the Miller family for trusting us with your glove repairs and keeping us part of your baseball journey! đŸ™ŒâšŸïž
