Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and friends who have passed down the love of flight from one generation to the next. At our field, you can see that legacy in action — the steady hands guiding a young pilot, the shared excitement as a plane lift into the sky, and the stories told between flights that become memories for a lifetime. Sharing the sky, building memories, passing down passion.
This hobby has always been about more than airplanes. It’s about connection. It’s about the moments spent side by side at the pilot stations, teaching, learning, laughing, and sometimes rebuilding. It’s about the dads who show up early to help set up, the grandfathers who bring decades of experience, and the kids who remind us why we fell in love with flying in the first place.
To every father in our club — and every father who inspired one of us to fly — thank you. Your patience, your passion, and your willingness to share this incredible hobby keep our community strong.

A Moment of Silence for Our Fallen

Please join me in a moment of silence for our lost brothers and sisters — the heroes who gave everything.

This is not about political beliefs, not about race, and not about media agendas.

Today is about something far deeper: the rare kind of soul born with a devotion so strong, so selfless, that they willingly step forward to defend millions of people they will never meet.

Some are called to serve. A few are called to sacrifice. And the greatest among them lay down their lives so that we may live in freedom.

Their courage was not theoretical — it was lived. Their patriotism was not spoken — it was proven. Their love for this country was not conditional — it was complete.

Today, we remember the ultimate price they paid. We honor the families who carry the weight of that loss. And we acknowledge that every freedom we enjoy was purchased by someone’s son, daughter, mother, father, brother, or sister who never came home.

May we live in a way that is worthy of their sacrifice. May we never forget what freedom truly costs. 🇺🇸🪖
