St. Pius X Varsity Warriors Come Up Short Against Lone Jack Varsity Mules

St. Pius X Varsity Warriors lost to Lone Jack Varsity Mules 9-4 on Thursday.

Daley Byars started the game for St. Pius X Varsity Warriors. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Allie Compton provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led St. Pius X Varsity Warriors with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Bailee Millhouse, Byars, Compton, and Gracie Hatcher each collected one hit for St. Pius X Varsity Warriors. Compton paced St. Pius X Varsity Warriors with two walks. Overall, the team showed patience at the plate, drawing five walks in the game. Byars and Sophia Armilio each stole multiple bases for St. Pius X Varsity Warriors. Armilio reached base safely three times in the game, scoring two runs and going 1-3. Gracie Hatcher also had one hit. St. Pius X Varsity Warriors ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game.

Next up for St. Pius X Varsity Warriors is a game at Notre Dame de Sion on Saturday.

For the fall season, here are the games that will be our grade school nights. We would love to see as many grade schoolers at the game as possible.

Rockhurst is using digital ticketing for the football game on Friday. Here is the link to buy your ticket. Buy your tickets early and avoid the lines.

Rockhurst High School is excited to host St Pius High School. It takes a lot of people to run a home football contest, and I appreciate each and every one of you for the work you do to accomplish this. We will have two gate entrances this year. One for the home north bleachers and one for the south visitor entrance. This should help with crowd flow getting into the stadium (a map of this is also attached). The link below is for online purchasing of tickets. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for both students and senior citizens. The online ticketing does have a $1.00 surcharge, but both gates will have online entrances through the Hudl fan app. We will have QR codes for people to scan at each gate. We will have a cash-only entrance at both gates as well. Kevin McGill will be following up with our gate workers later this week. Volleyball Jamboree tonight against Sion and St. Michael's. First game starts at 5:30 pm. Another fall sport is getting ready to kick off.
