In Kansas City the Swift/Kelce wedding was pretty much our royal wedding (Go Chiefs!). What better way to celebrate than with music from the queen herself.

This is our Treble Reel Special. Dancers can dance solo or in groups of *up to* 4. 1 step down the line - hard shoes. The only requirement is that dancers should have silly socks. Dancers are encouraged to dress it up and play into the theme.

This competition is a tribute to our feis founder and founder of the host school, Christine O’Riada, who was notorious for her silly socks. Funds raised go into the performing arts scholarship in her name, started by her daughters.

This fee is $15 a dancer (so groups of 4 still pay per dancer). Cash or check only. Paid at the time of check in. If there are multiple ages in a group, dancers will dance in the age group of the oldest dancer. Dancers in each group/solo dancers need to wear 1 number so we can call the winners accordingly (this could be any dancers number, it’s not being put into feisworx or anything, it’s strictly so the judge knows which number is each group). Awards will be handed out on the stage after each round.

Please remember that tomorrow is the last day to register and pay without late fees.

We will accept day of registration, but late fees are expensive. So get in by tomorrow to avoid those added fees.

We will have a used costume rack at the feis in the vendor space. All sellers are responsible for their own costumes.

If you have a hotel in the block and cannot make it, please consider transferring it before dropping it (you can comment on this post). Dropped rooms go away (they aren’t offered again).

10 days left to register without late fees!

We have split the OC senior comps. We now have a U18, U20, and a O20. In the event that we don’t have enough (those who are registered don’t pay) we will have to combine again. Currently, as it stands, if all who registered go in and pay, we will not have to combine with other age groups.

Boy comps will not be combined until later (to make sure there are enough). All grade comps that do not have enough will not be combined until later as well.

I know we are 7.5 months away from our KC Feis weekend, but our room block is open, and per usual, it tends to fill up before Memorial Weekend. So make sure to book now.

Please note our Feis and Festival room block is the same. Because of that, we do book up both our main hotels weeks/months in advance. So if you are wanting to stay in the Feis hotel (The Westin Crown Center) or the sister hotel (The Sheraton Crown Center - attached via a sky bridge), don’t put off booking.
