dearest dears,

all the ways you continually find your way back to heart, to an appreciation of ordinary beauty, to joy within the pain, to the grief that moves when you face the world as it is and choose to stay in love anyway, are radical, are sacred, are practice. thank you for keeping on, for showing up, for tuning in, going deeper, offering a helping hand even when you’re not so sure of your own next step. we love you. and we really appreciate you!

this week we’ve got a swampy retrograde, a spicy full moon, probably a lot of loud noises we’d all rather do without, and so much love all around and within us. plus i think the construction in the back is almost finished?! 🙏 we’re gonna keep getting through this.

we are so honored to announce an upcoming workshop with our dear visiting teacher Sue Morningstar. Sue will offer a Shamanic Stone Healing Ceremony, Saturday July 25, 6:30-8:30pm. this very special opportunity will be offered sliding scale, $35-60. space is limited, please register as soon as possible + reach out with any questions! innerspacekc.com/events

“Shaman Stones” were traditionally used by plains tribes to balance energetic polarities and release toxins from the body. Sue works directly with her stones to facilitate whatever healing is needed on behalf of each participant, incorporating the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Working with a central altar and ceremonial container, participants will be cleansed, the healing performed, and then we will gather and process our experiences in circle afterwards.

Sue and her apprentice Jason will also be available Saturday and Sunday for private sessions incorporation shamanic stone healing, Reiki, massage and divination. Each session is $60/hour — please reach out to the studio directly to schedule your session — [email protected] .

Sue Morningstar Shunatona is Pawnee, Otoe and Wyandotte. She serves on the board of Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers as Grandmother Elder, and has practiced as a massage therapist, bodyworker and ceremonialist since the 1980s. She has had several teachers of various tribes. Sue’s work incorporates reflexology, chakra balancing, stone layout, rebirthing, soul retrieval, and she is a Usui/Karuna Reiki Master. Sue currently lives in Ellsworth, Kansas and is availble for workshops, classes, ceremonies, lectures, readings and long distance Reiki. whew — we made it to June dear hearts!
🌀🪷🦆🌿🪲☀️🪲🌿🐌🪷🌀

wishing you every opportunity to slooow down & sink in to all the necessary stillness, silence, solitude & spaciousness we all need for true Yin cultivation as seasonal Yang reaches its peak at the Solstice. remember that “Yin-ing” can happen through qi gong, yoga or restorative practices, but also an ambling walk, long bath, time spent in nature or even just a single extra moment to pause & appreciate the quiet.

a major shift for me came in recognizing that i may never have “more time,” or less life chaos to deal with. work shifts with the seasons, but life will always be life. and, i can choose to spend a few extra moments grounding into my body, connecting with the earth, opening my senses to the world around me, & appreciating my breath. everything seems to feel easier when i attend to what’s here & now in the present moment. full disclosure — this is still challenging! that’s why it’s a practice. :) 

sending you lots of cool, calm, reflective quiet, & the much courage to claim the space you need to rest, restore & integrate as we move through the solstice gate.
