Let’s all take a moment of silence for our social media manager, who was tired after three weekends in a row of dog sports and apparently forgot her job this week 😔🙏 she says she’s super sorry to keep you waiting and won’t let you down again 😉

💫Now- back to your regularly scheduled recap from our weekend at the Iowa Heartland Summer Toss!!! 💫

Our whole team was on fire this weekend 🔥🔥🔥 As a team that took last year off to train/re-train and started the year with more than half our team as green dogs, we are starting to put the pieces together and it is INCREDIBLE!! We’re really hitting our stride and are all so proud of the team and our dogs!

big, Big, BIG News!
🌟 Everyone’s favorite Disney dog, Niko, debuted in Pairs on Saturday and RAN FOUR RACES WITH THE TEAM ON SUNDAY! He did AMAZING and as if that wasn’t enough, he ran 100% clean! On top of ALL OF THAT- he set a new PB of 4.40! What a legend!!
🌟 Speaking of legends- our girls Banshee and Addie also set some absolutely unbelievable new PBs! 4.1 and 4.91 respectively!! Killer queens 🔪👑
🌟 While we’re on PBs, how about a new team PB for Rampage of 18.421!!! I know we had a few 23.xs in our first few races of the year- when I say we’re hitting our stride, I mean it 🤯🤯

Some other amazingggg brags:
🪄🦄 Magic did some grown up dog stuff and rocked some full runs head to head with Nimbus! She is FAST y’all! Her debut is so close we can smell it!
😈🍸Malintov Cocktail (Ridge and Knack) came back to keep perfecting their pairs duo, setting their own new PB of 8.2x! They were also the second fastest pairs team on Saturday!
⚡️⚡️ Baby Zapp had some of the nicest wall board sessions we’ve seen in a hot minute! She did so well that she was able to move to the box at practice yesterday- watch out for the coolest German Shepherd you know to be running soon!
🏛️🏛️ Artemis came to partemis! She kept her head on straight with no chasing at all!! She even made some amazing choices when she came off a little wide- we’re so proud of her! Shoutout to her buddies Banshee and Orbit for being steady partners to race against 😇
💦🐠 Many of our dogs came into this weekend after back to back weekends of dock competitions and still gave it their all with very clean runs! The work ethic of every dog in this team is just 🤯🤯

We are sooooooooo proud of these incredible dogs and their people! Now for a few weeks off to recover until our first NAFA of the year in a few weeks! See you again soon, Iowa!!

Introducing our newest teammate- Riot!!

Riot is a fun sporty mix who Travis adopted (read: created) two weekends ago at Margarita Mania! She is an award winning pooch thanks to the Shenanigans Unleashed Flyball Team’s virtual used vet wrap contest! We had her measured and she sets 10” jumps, so she won’t be much of a height dog but we’re excited about her enthusiasm for her ball carry!

Third tournament of the year was the Margarita Mania XX Anchor Tournament in Texas and WOW, WOW, WOW! These kids brought out their star players and came 👏 to 👏 play 🔥🔥🔥

🎉🥳DEBUT TIME🥳🎉
🤠 Banshee made her 4 x 4 debut this weekend and was an absolute rockstar! This girl was FIRED UP and had no questions about the environment or the other dogs and even ran clean in her bad lane! Top that off with a new PB of 4.58 and she really has us lost for words. What an absolute legend- we are soooooo proud of her!!!!!

💯Did I Hear PB??💯
🦸‍♂️ Super man Jasper held us together again this tournament, putting up his first 4.00 LTL!! That break into the 3.9xs is soooo close we can taste it! He had some big paws to fill as Banshee’s emotional support border collie (we missed you this weekend, River 😭😭😭) but he handled it all like a pro!
🤩 Addie looked like a million bucks this weekend and took on the weekend as if she’s been doing this for years, not just three tournaments. She gave and took real passes, and was 100% clean the entire weekend! She broke out of the 5.xxs on Sunday, putting up a 4.98 🎉🎉 She also earned her Top Flight title this weekend!
🐝 Knack looked like a professional on Saturday and was HYPED to bring back Malintov Cocktail on Sunday. He and Ridge shaved at least 4s off their previous best time, handling real passes beautifully. After all of that, he dropped below 4.20 this weekend, putting up five times below it with his best being a 4.08!!
🐵 Ridge’s second tournament has her coming in hot for the title of fastest dog on the team and we are here for it 👏👏👏 She put up FOUR new PBs with her best being a 3.629!!! She was also hyped to bring Malintov Cocktail back- carrying her ball 100% of the time, even with some close passes!

📌🧑‍💼Serious Business for our Adult Dogs🧑‍💼📌
🛰️ Orbit brought Jayne good luck in the raffle and thought that was possibly the most fun he’s had in years. He didn’t let that distract him from his job though and was our consistent and steady presence full time this weekend!
⚡️ Nimbus was such a huge help for our green dogs, running pairs on Saturday and splitting a spot on the team Sunday to give the green dogs more mat time. He also put up a 3.63 in the pass this weekend- rivaling his PB!
🎉 Artie came to party this weekend and was flawless in her preflights!! She is so close to racing we can taste it!

🍼💚🥹Baby Dog Stuff🥹💚🍼
✈️ Pilot worked through his baby boy brain to come back to Jayne Saturday and Sunday during his preflights. He also worked with the most intense dog and environment he’s seen and kept his head on straight!
⚡️Zapp has only seen the small board on the box twice in practice but she went straight to work in this environment! She had some AWESOME reps!! Slow and steady wins the race with this girl and we are so happy with what we’re seeing!
😈 Mischief saved the preflight!
🦄 Magic did some big girl stuff in her preflights! She saw four dogs in the ring for the first time and did head to head box work with a new, fast, dog in the next lane. She aced every rep on all fronts!!
🧵 The S puppies, Siren and Scorch, aren’t old enough for preflights yet but got to play around on the mats before the tournament thanks to our lovely hosts! They were both ROCKSTARS and did their recalls like little grown ups 🥹 Watch out- String Theory is coming to a pairs team near you some day in the far distant future (if we can get the strings away from them long enough to teach them something else 🤣).

All in all, a FABULOUS weekend!! The vibes were high and the dogs were amazing. We genuinely could not be more proud of everyone! HUGE thank you to our hosting teams- Hyper Flight Flyball Club, Break Through, and Top Dog Racers. We had an absolute blast in and out of the lanes and everyone was so welcoming and friendly! We looooooved being in Texas and can’t wait for next year (or before that!! Let us know if you throw another tournament here on the books for this year!)
