What a day for PAL. 💙📚

Our largest Back to School event ever welcomed nearly 1,300 community members, and thanks to the incredible support of more than 50 volunteers, we were able to keep serving families for nearly four hours.

From backpacks and school supplies to nearly 100 sports physicals, 100 haircuts, food, and treats, this event was about giving kids the confidence to start the school year strong.

To every volunteer, donor, community partner, and the Kansas City Police Department - thank you for showing up in such a big way. The need in our community is greater than ever, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make a lasting impact on so many local families.

This is what PAL is all about. 💙

Sometimes the biggest impact walks on four paws. 🐾💙

Recently our PAL kids had the chance to spend time with Gracie the Bernedoodle. Gracie is a Support K9 who serves in the KCPD Wellness Unit providing emotional support to first responders and staff, especially after critical incidents. Our kids learned about the important role therapy and support dogs play while sharing plenty of smiles, pets, and high-fives.

Moments like these help build trust, confidence, and meaningful connections. One paw at a time!
