Oregon Masters Swimming (OMS) is excited to offer Adult Learn-to-Swim (ALTS) grants to support OMS workout groups and clubs in offering free water-safety and swim lessons to non-swimming adults in their local communities.

Huge shoutout to these four 70+ swimmers!

The Tualatin Hills Barracudas foursome of Susan Albright (70), Mark Becker (71), Peggy Toole (73), and Chris Toole (74). They’ve been swimming together for decades and just became the only 70+ team to complete their club’s 2-mile relay. Each swimmer did 9 x 100s, and they finished with a time of 57:57.15.

”Proud to show we’re all in our 70s and still making waves,” Peggy says.

What a great graduating class with instructor Ben Goodlad, becoming the first beneficiaries of the Oregon Masters Swimming ALTS grant. Lincoln City Parks & Recreation will be offering more ALTS courses in July and into the fall, so check back later for additional registration details.
