Hobby Hill Summer League Recap - Week 16 - 7.14.26

61 players out last night – thank you for coming! I moved the $50 bounty to 4 Short and made 5 Short the CTP, and boom! Canaan Herring aced it. To keep things interesting, Sam Levorson aced 18 Short. They each get $46 cash, and Canaan gets $20 for the CTP. Next week’s ace pot starts at $48.

You guys killed it out on the course. Jon Oakes scared away more MPO players, but Mike, Andrew, and Steve were close behind. -9 was the hot score. In which division, you ask? MPO, MA1, MA2, and MA3. We haven’t done promotions in a while, but it’s time. Lukas, Scott, Jeremiah, and Brandon are playing in MA1 where they belong. Next week, they should be joined by Don Macavoy, Matthew Williams, and Joshua Garcia. Sam Levorson should try MA2, and probably Eddie Williams and Ben Brentano should too. If you move up, then do a Rec/Int thing and follow up a great round with a bad one, and don’t cash, it’s OK to move back down until you’re more consistent. But Gabo told me when he handed off the league, if you win big, you gotta move up next week. MP40, MA50, FA1, and MA4, you’re all cool.

This Friday and Sunday, WW and BRC will be hopping with the Kansas City Flying Disc Challenge, and Saturday, we all go to Smithville Lake. There are still spots open, but registration closes tomorrow. The Amateur player pack is worth $122; we also have fundraiser discs and shirts available for sale at the store. Last week, Cody McBee won the $20 CTP on Hole 6. Robb Jones aced Hole 4 Short, and Thomas Divine aced Hole 11 Short - that's crazy stuff! They each won $82 cash; the ace fund starts at $83 this week. Since Robb proved it can be done, the $50 Bounty will be Hole 4 Short, and the $20 CTP will be Hole 5 Short.

Brett Lance was hot with -11. -6 was next best for Charles Hatfield & Jacob Mustard in MPO, Thomas in MP40, *and* Kenny Kovacs in MA3. One of you needs to move up! Ben Brentano was -5, also in MA3. -4 won last cash for LaRon Harris in MPO, tied for 1st in MA1, and won MA2 for Shaun Maher Brandon Martinez and Joshua Garcia. David Craigg had a good day in MA4 with -2, which is at least reasonable 😀 Sarah Williams rocked FA1 Jan Stumfoll brought the whole family and played FA3, and four guys cooked in MA50.
