Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo!!!
Behold the newest addition to the PBOCC fleet, a brand spanking new Puakea Malolo that we have aptly named, “Pōmaika’i”
Coming off of men’s and women’s wins and a respectable mixed performance at this weekend’s Lanakila’s Ocean Challenge, all of us at Palm Beach Outrigger are grateful for our club, members, and all the friends we’ve made from the blessing of outrigger.
“Good fortune,” “lucky,” “blessings,” Indeed!
PŌMAIKA’I !!!
We’d also like to formally thank everyone at Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County for believing in us and awarding us their “Boat Show Gives Back” Grant! This canoe was 100% made possible because of that grant, as was membership growth this year as well. A key goal of this grant was also to begin our community involvement mission and the partnership with the Saddle &Sea Foundation foundation. That began this year and has been a fantastic experience. The club has been able to support our first responders with weekly padddles and now is proud to have many of them join the club ( including 3 who were on the podium for us this past weekend!!)
Lastly, Mucho Mahalos to our friends Jean and Brianne from Ozone Florida for everything they did to help us make this happen and everything they do for all of us here in t hFlorida paddling community.
Stay tuned for more as we get this canoe, back home and in the water!
Mahalo and Aloha to all!!
