Twenty-five years ago today, I witnessed the first true tragedy of my life. The details remain sharp in my memory, but what stays with me most are the people. The firefighters, teachers, and everyday employees who simply went to work and never came home.
In the aftermath, however, we found a rare and powerful unity. That is the part we cannot afford to forget. As the old truth goes, divided we fall, and today we are deeply divided. Remembering how we came together then is the warmest way forward.
To the heroes who lost their lives, and to the survivors who carry those memories: from all of us at Alaska Knifeworks, we thank you.
