Meet the team at the Juneau Media Center! This week, get to know Devon Stickler! (and the littlest member of our office crew- Saylor)
“I was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, and I have a deep love for this community and the people in it. I work as a Sales Executive with Juneau Media Center, and for me, it’s about helping local businesses grow, stay strong, and stay connected to the place we all call home.
I really believe that in a town like Juneau, businesses are so much more than businesses. They are our friends, neighbors, classmates, parents, and the people we see out in the community every day. I care about their success because it directly impacts the place I live and raise my family, and I try to show up for them in a real and genuine way.
I also see every day how important local radio is across Southeast Alaska. I’m proud to be part of something that does so much more than run ads. It connects people, supports nonprofits, shares local stories, promotes events, and helps keep everyone in the loop when it matters most. That’s something I care about a lot in my work.
I recently taken an interest in Juneau Alaska Music Matters, which is something I’m really excited about because it lets me give back through the arts and support something that brings people together. I’m also a proud mom to my daughter Saylor, who often comes to work with me and keeps me grounded in what really matters.
I care a lot about helping people succeed, whether that’s a small business owner trying to grow, a nonprofit doing important work, or a community event bringing people together. This job is personal to me. I want to see Juneau and Southeast Alaska thrive because this is home for me and these are my people.
I also feel lucky to work with people who care just as much as I do about this community, people who show up every day because they believe in what we are building together here.”

To the moms who show up every day, even when they are tired. To the grandmothers, stepmoms, foster moms, aunties, sisters and friends who help raise, guide and protect.
To the women who love with patience, carry more than most people see, and somehow still find a way to give.
Thank you.
Mother’s Day is not just about perfect cards or perfect families. It is about recognizing the people who helped shape us, comfort us, challenge us and believe in us.
Today, we celebrate them with gratitude, honesty and love. Happy Mother’s Day.
