One fine day… she’ll remember this.
Y’vonne shows up regularly and does hard things.
And on this day, her daughter asked if she could do it with her.
That’s bigger than a workout.
That’s a little girl watching her mom choose strength, discipline, and courage — and thinking:
“Mom can do hard things… maybe I can too.”
Our kids are always watching.
Not just what we say, but what we model.
What a powerful thing for a mom of two to show her children:
You can be strong. You can take care of yourself. You can try hard things. And you can keep showing up.
One fine day, they may realize just how much they learned by watching you. ❤️💪

Life demands a certain amount of risk.
Trying something new is a risk.
Walking into a room where you don’t know anyone is a risk.
Letting yourself be coached is a risk.
Being vulnerable enough to admit you have something to learn is a risk.
Believing you might be capable of more is a risk too.
But those are the kinds of risks that can change your life.
Most growth starts with a little uncertainty.
You don’t know exactly how it will go.
You don’t know how quickly you’ll improve.
You don’t know who you’ll meet along the way.
You just decide the possibility is worth stepping toward.
Take the class.
Meet the people.
Listen to the coach.
Try the thing that makes you a little nervous.
Some risks are worth taking. Growth usually is. 💪❤️

“I think you should keep going… just to see what happens.”
That might be the reminder somebody needs today.
When you’re new at something, progress can feel slow.
The workouts are hard.
The movements feel awkward.
The results aren’t showing up as quickly as you hoped.
And that’s usually when doubt starts creeping in.
But anything worth becoming good at takes time.
Strength takes time.
Fitness takes time.
Confidence takes time.
Building a new habit takes time.
Don’t confuse being at the beginning with being bad at it.
Give yourself enough time to learn. Enough reps to improve. Enough opportunities to surprise yourself.
You’ve already done the hardest part—you started.
Now keep going long enough to find out what happens. 💪❤️

Why do I do CrossFit every day?
Because apparently suffering with my friends is my favorite hobby. 😂
But seriously… there’s something about moving, laughing, competing with yourself, and being around good people that keeps you coming back.
Some people collect stamps.
We collect sore muscles and questionable life choices. 😆💪

MONDAY 💪
New week. New opportunity to get a little better.
You don't need to crush every workout. You don't need to PR every lift. You don't even need to feel motivated walking through the door.
You just need to show up.
Put in the work. Encourage the person next to you. Take one more step forward than you did yesterday.
Progress isn't built in one great day—it's built by stacking ordinary days together.
Let's get the week started, Mettle & Honor. 🔥

The squat clean is one of those movements that can look complicated from the outside—but when you break it down, it’s a skill just like anything else.
A few key points of performance:
🏅Start with a strong setup: feet about hip-width, bar close, chest up, midline braced.
🏅Push the floor away and keep the bar close as you stand.
🏅Finish the pull with aggressive hip and leg extension.
🏅Then move yourself around the bar quickly.
🏅Receive it in a strong front rack with the elbows high.
🏅Catch with control in a full squat.
Stand it up with balance and intent.
The goal isn’t to muscle the bar from the floor to your shoulders.
It’s learning how to use your legs, hips, timing, and position together.
And that’s why coaching matters.
You don’t need to walk into CrossFit already knowing how to squat clean.
That’s what we’re here for.
We’ll break it down. We’ll scale the load. We’ll give you drills. We’ll coach the positions. And little by little, something that once looked intimidating starts to feel natural.
You don’t have to know how before you start. You just have to be willing to learn. 💪
Send us a DM and come try a class at CrossFit Mettle & Honor.

Yesterday, we moved with purpose.
The 343 Tribute WOD honors the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001—men who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to get out.
Every rep had meaning. Every athlete carried the tribute in their own way, including one who took on the workout in full fire gear.
We remember. We honor. We keep moving. 🇺🇸

One day, you might look back and realize the hardest part was simply starting.
Starting before you felt ready.
Starting before you felt confident.
Starting before you thought you were “fit enough.”
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need enough courage to take the first step.
Maybe the life you want starts with one workout.
One class.
One decision to finally do something for yourself.
Be brave enough to begin.
We’ll help you with the rest. 💪❤️
