🍯 SOMETHING SWEET JUST BUZZED INTO THE SHOP! 🐝

We’re excited to welcome a new local product to Clarion River Outdoors!

Grampy’s Bee Ranch Honey 🐝🍯

We now have five delicious varieties of pure honey:

🌾 Buckwheat
🌼 Clover
🌻 Wildflower
🌼 Goldenrod
🍊 Orange Blossom

Different flowers. Different colors. Different flavors — all made by nature’s little helpers! 🐝

And there’s more to come…

🌻 Sunflower honey will be coming later on!

We love bringing locally sourced products into the shop, especially things that connect us back to the land, the seasons and the natural world around us.

We’ve also been restocking and adding some fun new things around the shop!

👹 SQUONK SHIRTS ARE HERE!

Celebrate one of the best-known creatures of Allegheny folklore with our Squonk T-shirts!

The Squonk is a legendary creature said to be so sad and distorted that it cries itself into a puddle. Around here, we like to think of it as the official mascot of a bad day. 😂

And you can celebrate our favorite local lore with more than just shirts — we have Squonk mugs, tumblers and other great gifts and merchandise too!

🐦 OUR CROW COLLECTION IS BACK!

We have journals and other gifts celebrating our favorite bird — the crow — plus our shelves are once again stocked with our beautiful handcrafted bird carvings.

🐭 THE MICE ARE BACK!

Our field mice are fully restocked and ready to participate in the Junior Explorer Mouse Hunt! 🐭🌲

Kids can search the shop for our little hidden mice and take part in this FREE Junior Explorer activity.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, TEAM PIEDMONT! 🎉

The Explorers Quest had another successful escape last night! 🗝️🔐

Team Piedmont made their way through the quest in a respectable 52 minutes, solving ALL of the locks and making their escape! 👏

Way to go, explorers! 🧭🌲

And while we’re celebrating our latest escapees, we’ve got a few updates from inside the Explorers Quest…

🎨 THE ROOM GOT A FACELIFT!

Mike and I spent all day Tuesday with paintbrushes in hand, giving the escape room a fresh new look that fits the character and current storyline even better.

And we’re not stopping there…

🏆🗝️ TEAM KIDS vs. TEAM PARENTS! 🗝️🏆

We had a little family showdown in the Explorers Quest Escape Room tonight… and these teams did NOT disappoint! 😂

👧🧒 TEAM KIDS — 55 MINUTES!
The kids came up with a unique strategy… but they were having SO much fun that they decided they wanted to solve EVERY. SINGLE. PUZZLE. in the room! They took their time, enjoyed the adventure, and finally made their exit at 55 minutes. 🧩🔎

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 TEAM PARENTS — 30 MINUTES FLAT!
Then the parents crew stepped in and cracked the code to escape the room in just 30 MINUTES! ⏱️💥

👑 NEW LEADERBOARD CHAMPS! 👑

Great job to BOTH teams! That’s exactly what we love about the room — different teams find completely different ways to tackle the puzzles!

The Autumn Harvest Festival is taking over Market Street 10 AM–10 PM, and we’re joining the fun with EXTENDED HOURS at Clarion River Outdoors! 🍁

Because Market Street will be closed to traffic, we will NOT be offering river rentals or shuttle services on Saturday. But there’s still plenty to explore inside!

Team "No Clue Whatsoever" must have had a clue! 😉

They escaped 3 short minutes faster to take bragging rights as our new reigning champions of the Explorers Quest Escape Room with a time of 37 minutes! 🏆

Who can beat that? ⏰

Come on down during September to see if your team can be the next on the leaderboard!

Also come back after we switch up the story for Halloween in October!

Good morning! 😃

Things are getting almost back to normal around here. Water levels are just a little above normal in the Clarion River main stem and West Branch.

The East Branch Clarion River is just right and pretty much back to normal, if not a little low. We had an enjoyable paddle yesterday, even the couple of cranky 🦫 beavers 🦫 that slapped the water to warn us away 😳 were entertaining 😂.

Open until 5 PM today. We have a couple Escape Room reservations today, so please message us ahead to schedule your group time slot.

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays (Including Labor Day) to spend time with our family.

Thank you for the incredible support and patronage we've received from everyone so far! We look forward to meeting you if you haven't had a chance to stop in yet. We Hope to see all of our new customers and friends that we've made this year again soon!

I saw this itty-bitty baby ring-necked snake on the Eagle Scout trail yesterday along East Branch Clarion River. It sure was quick to hide. See comments for still photo.

Even as they reach adulthood, these tiny slitherers only grow to about 10-15 inches long!

They eat worms, slugs, salamanders and other little creatures. Cool beans! 🐍

An assortment of nuts are available to snack on for your weekend at camp or lounging at home. If you like those carved blocks of wooden beams, there are salvaged pieces complete with historic square nails embedded in them available for purchase through the Johnsonburg Community Trust to help raise funds to continue the renovation of the brick block.

We have traveler's information with brochures on all the best local vacation rentals, food & drinks, and things to see and do. Stop in to plan your next adventure in the PA Wilds!

Local hosts and guides, we'll gladly share your cards and brochures to help promote your services too...come talk shop with us sometime! We're also still looking for other commissioned vendors to sell outdoorsy, nature-based, and other locally handmade products in our shop. Drop us a line or stop in during business hours to discuss our commission rate and display space availability.
