| : Straddle Split ✨
Today we’re opening up the hips and challenging our adductor mobility, hip abduction, and active control.
Challenge:
• 30-60 sec straddle hold
• 10 active straddle leg lifts
• 2-3 rounds
Remember: don’t force the split — build strength and control through the range you have today.

| JCFIT WEEK AHEAD | WEEK OF 6/29
We are closing out Pride Month and we could not be more grateful. This past Saturday, Werk the Block JCFIT was everything we hoped it would be and more. To every single person who showed up, sweated with us, ran the streets of Jersey City, and donated to The OUT Foundation, thank you. Truly. It was a morning we will never forget. The work continues, and so does the love.
Now we roll into July and there is a lot to be excited about this month. Here is a preview of what you can expect:
We will be retesting our Deadlift and Front Squat cycles so you can see exactly how far you have come. Our Olympic lifting work continues to cycle between the sn**ch and the clean, building skill and confidence on the bar week over week. You will also see more vertical pressing work and a greater focus on unilateral movements: single-leg, single-arm, building the strength that fills in the gaps. And while the weather is on our side, we are going to run. Expect more running volume this month. No excuses, just miles.
This week we kick things off Monday with a gymnastics and strength combo, Tuesday is Oly day with our clean complex, Wednesday features a partner rowling warm-up into reverse lunges and a bodyweight interval piece, and Friday we hit the RDL cycle before a row and deadlift chipper.
And Saturday, July 4th, we move together. Check the note from Coach J9 inside the workout. It says everything we need to say.

Your dedication made it all possible.
We were proud to support the OUT Foundation, an LGBTQIA+ nonprofit dedicated to removing barriers and creating opportunities for LGBTQIA+ individuals to access health, wellness, and fitness. At a time when visibility, inclusion, and support matter more than ever, it’s important that we continue to show up for one another.

A big thank you to Mary & Alex for hanging out with us during their work trip. We always encourage our athletes to drop in at a local gym when they’re traveling. It’s a great way to stay consistent, keep your routine going, and connect with new people in the fitness community.
