Congratulations team mate Jacob Watkins, Jacob got first place in fighting and 3rd place in kata at Amerikick this past weekend!

Team mate Austyn Hubbard was also at the AmeriKick international tournament. 1st in creative forms, didn’t place in sparring, competed in the grands but didnt place.

Team mate Cara Dellaterra won 1st in Traditional Kata and 2nd in Traditional Weapons over the weekend at the AmeriKicks International Tournament.

What does two hours of focused training look like? It looks like dedication, sweat, and pushing the bar up. These teammates came to work and they are laying the foundation for the the World Games ahead of them.

State games

We’ve been thinking about what it should mean to win for your state.

Not simply what the award should look like, but what it should represent. It needs to recognize the athletes who competed together, preserve the name of the winning state, and eventually carry the history of this competition from one United States Invitational & State Games to the next.

That thinking led us to the idea of the Union Shield.

The Union represents the states coming together for one national competition. The Shield represents the honor earned by the state whose team rises to the top.

These sketches aren’t a finished design. They’re an early look at some of the directions we’ve considered as we work out what this perpetual State vs. State award should become.

We know what we want it to represent. We’re still discovering what it should look like—and we wanted to bring you into that process.

🚨 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: THE WORLD MARTIAL ARTS GAMES ARE HEADED TO PUERTO RICO! 🇵🇷

In December 2027, the world’s martial arts community will unite at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan for an international event unlike any we have hosted before.

Presented by the Global Martial Arts Council (GMAC), the 2027 World Martial Arts Games will be more than a competition—and Puerto Rico will be far more than its location.

We are proud to partner with Discover Puerto Rico to create an experience that brings together world-class martial arts, the energy of San Juan, and the vibrant culture and hospitality of the island.

We are not simply bringing an event to Puerto Rico. We are working with Puerto Rico to create an unforgettable experience for every athlete, coach, family, official, and supporter who joins us.

The competition will be extraordinary. The destination will be unforgettable. And the experience will begin long before anyone steps onto the floor.
