Come enjoy all-things-aviation at Moulin Ruch: A Festival of Flight!

September19th, 3 pm-8pm at LongSword Vineyard

Meet a bald eagle, python and Great-horned owl with Wildlife Images on site at 3:15 pm.

This will be followed by a catapult, family-friendly cabaret show, live music, wooden airplane art and throwing contest, and live music.

Conditions permitting, there will be costumed hang glider & paraglider landings. You can even try out a hang gliding simulator (on the ground!) with local instructor James Tibbs!

There will be a food truck and wine as well!

"It seemed we were just learning a new sport, but looking back we were absorbing a new philosophy of life. The group of pilots that we met were eclectic, but so many of them shared a desire to Live Big. They prioritized fun over security and, while meticulously careful in folding their reserve chutes, seemed to live their lives largely without a back up plan.

Freedom-junkies, they seemed to drift around the world like released balloons, untied from anything pragmatic. Not even gravity could catch them..."

Come to this year's Moulin Ruch! Festival of Flight at LongSword Vineyard on September 19th from 3:00-8:00pm.

Inspired by France’s legendary Coupe Icare, this event celebrates the magic of flight with costumed paraglider and hang glider landings, kite-flying, birds-of-prey, model airplane crafts and contests, plus a family-friendly cabaret performance, live music, crepes, drinks, and community fun!
