Today is International Owl Awareness Day. It highlights the ecological importance of owls, corrects misconceptions, and draws attention to the the threats facing nocturnal birds of prey worldwide. These beautiful raptors are natures pest control, and act as key indicators of a healthy, functioning environment. Habitat loss and toxic rat poisons pose the greatest threat to their survival. A beautiful but HOT summer day and your favorite market vendors are ready for a great market. Some vendors can't have items out when temps get above 90 (honey, fresh flowers, etc) but those who can withstand the heat are faithfully keeping your market going this summer! Can't wait to see you from 1-6 at the POA Parking Lot!

Fireworks from Delfino Dr. - After a wonderful 250th July 4th dinner, my wife and I along with good friends, decided to avoid the crowds and traffic at the beach, and watch the fireworks across the Intracoastal Waterway from Delfino Dr. on a perfect night. What a show. Not as good as being there, but most enjoyable to see. We were comfortable, and was a short drive home. Something to consider next year. Wayne Wright

Celebrating our 250th Birthday with the 4th of July Parade and Pool Party. Although a smaller number in the parade this year, still the Red, White, and Blue was proudly displayed on a beautiful morning to kick off the festivities.
