After 2 miscarriages 7mths a part, like Hannah I was overwhelmed w/ sadness& grief (& anger at God🫣) at the thght of not being able to have a child AND God!!! God did what HE does. He saw past my emotions (even being mad at Him)& showed up in a mighty way! We truly got double for our trouble…We didn’t just get a son, we got a friend, a buddy, a prayer partner, a gentle giant, a giver, a poet, a chef, a voice of reason& much much more. Something so Extraordinary that only God could craft& deliver in a HUGE package. At nearly 6’6 300lbs he’s as strong as a bear yet still gives us forehead kisses. He’s a walking encyclopedia& still finds joy in nature documentaries. Whether it’s moving a couch or baking a cake he’s your guy. He’s not a momma’s boy he’s God’s man& I’m forever grateful that God trusted us w/ such a precious gift. Happy 25th to .e.c_sun my Son’Shine, my friend, try it buddy& forever my Sugar Shank (I’m glad I didn’t cross my legs& break your neck 😉😉🤣🤣)

“It’s a girl”& so the journey began. I jokingly say I didn’t feel better until she was 3mths old! She wouldn’t sleep unless the room was pitch black. She had her own schedule. She didn’t smile until she was almost 2yrs old. She insisted on a purse& lip gloss at 4. At 6 she was labeled gifted. In 1st grade her teacher said she could teach/lead the class in her absence. At 8 she demanded to speak w/ pastor bcus God wanted her to host a meeting w/ the women (& she actually had a list of their names). As a pre-teen she inquired how to make her bday a natl holiday bcus in her words “they made MLK bday a holiday” (yes that MLK& yes she was serious 🤦🏽‍♀️). Throughout her life we’ve been told (seen& accept) she’s not typical& dares to be different. She’s unique& altho she looks like me (which somehow she still denies😵‍💫), she’s proven/stood in her individuality& is holding things down. She has a bigger calling yet to be revealed. Her latter shall defly be greater than her past. She’s teaching me to trust God in the “hard” things even/esp when I can’t trace Him. She’s overcome& is blazing a trail of her own. Happy Birthday to our “Purpose”, my bomb lash tech, beach buddy, messy Molly& petty Paula, one of the best rage baiters& 4ever God’s Gyrl! ._ Enjoy your day💛💛💛💛💛
