David showed up for Open Mat today, but instead of jumping right into rolling, he saw that there was work to be done and chose to help clean up.

That moment says a lot about who David is.

He’s one of the most dedicated students on our mats. He shows up for every class, puts in the work, and has even added Friday night Club Wrestling because he’s serious about becoming the best grappler he can be.

David has big goals he wants to make a living grappling one day and he doesn’t just talk about those goals. He lives them. He shows up. He works. He learns. And when there’s something that needs to be done, he steps in.

It takes heart to pursue a life in grappling. But it also takes humility, discipline, consistency, and character.

David has the heart for grappling, but more importantly, he has the kind of heart it takes to truly succeed.

We’re proud to have him on our mats and excited to watch where that dedication takes him. 🥋
