🚨Alright gang, yall know the drill!🚨

Every single tournament that we host here in Jacksonville, we do a very special giveaway to honor the hard work, dedication, sacrifice and performance these athletes show during pool play on Saturday, to put their team in the best possible position to come out as CHAMPIONS!!

✨We call this the Outstanding Player Award, and with it comes a BRAND NEW WILSON A2000 GLOVE, that is awarded to ONE LUCKY PLAYER out of all of the age groups in the tournament!!!

If you all haven’t played with us before, and want to know how this works, we will break it down🔥

1. The NUMBER ONE rule of this nomination is that no coach is allowed to vote for THEIR OWN PLAYERS-at the end of each game during pool play on Saturday, opposing coaches will vote for a MVP from the OTHER team’s roster, based on any number of things that may have stood out to them during the game.

2. The nomination should be based on more than JUST a performance - the reason we began this tradition was to remind these young athletes that as they grow in this sport, and potentially pursue a higher level of it, they will NEVER KNOW WHO IS WATCHING THEM FROM THE STANDS!

🔥So this award encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, communication, leadership, grit, awareness, respect for officials and competitors, along with an outstanding performance in between the white lines🔥

3. At the end of Saturday’s pool play, we collect all of the names given to us by coaches, throw them into a hat, and draw one anonymous lucky winner who is awarded the Wilson A2000 glove before their first game on Championship Sunday!

It’s one of the things we look forward to doing most on our weekends with you all!

For those that have not played with us before, there is a little something we do for every single tournament we host here in Jacksonville:

OUR OUTSTANDING PLAYER AWARD (or OPA✨)!

The purpose of this award is to emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, leadership, and athleticism in this game. Because at the end of the weekend, no matter who takes home a trophy or ring, it’s all about the lessons learned throughout pool/elimination play, and knowing your athletes carried themselves in passionate and respectful ways, on and off the field.

We start by having opposing coaches through each pool play game on Saturday, choose 1 MVP from the OPPOSITE team, and those names are recorded by our directors, thrown into a hat, and ONE LUCKY PLAYER is drawn, for the opportunity to win a BRAND NEW WILSON A2000! 🤩

We are so lucky to be able to bless one hardworking athlete for their performance each weekend we are out there, and it lights a different fire in knowing they could win so much more than a ring; but a piece of equipment they will utilize as they grow in their craft.
