This week, we catch up with Don at Port Royal Golf Club on the beautiful island of Bermuda talking about a free-flowing swing to hit great golf shots. Too many golfers swing the club back and through the impact area with their arms without properly rotating their chest and shoulders to be in sync (connected) with this swinging motion. When you rotate the chest and shoulders with the arms, you will be "Opening the Windows" in both directions of your golf swing to hit pure shots and "Swing Freely" to play your best golf! Cheers from Bermuda!

Jill and I had a fantastic time at the K9 for Warriors dinner and country music festival with Grammy Award winning artists last night September 10th at TPC Sawgrass in our home town of Jacksonville, Florida. It was even better today September 11th on the Stadium Course conducting a Beat-the-Pro event for this wonderful charity. Never forget 9-11 as their K9's will never forget their loving Warriors!

This week, we find Don back up at the iconic hole # 16 at Port Royal Golf Club on the beautiful island country of Bermuda. Don stresses the importance of consistency in your ball striking and this is found by maintaining a constant spine angle from address position to the top, and through impact. Through the "Feet Together Drill", you will find there is no other way to keep your balance without maintaining the spine angle throughout these critical areas of the golf swing. Practice the "Feet Together Drill" at your range and you definitely will become a more consistent ball striker to play your best golf!

This week, we catch back up with Don at the Tucker's Point Club (TPC) on the beautiful island country of Bermuda talking about the most critical area of the swing (the impact area). Too many golfers swing left of their target line while many others swing it out to the right of this line in an attempt to swing the club "inside out". When you "Hit the Parallel Positions" to your target line at hip high on each side of your swing, you will have the club on plane and square through the impact area to play your best golf!

From the Port Royal Golf Club on the beautiful island country of Bermuda, this week we catch up with Don talking about the proper standing distance from the golf ball for more consistent solid shots. Too many golfers stand too far from the ball promoting a swing in which they have to steer the club with their hands and arms back down to the ball to hit it solidly. While others, stand too close and crowd the ball which gets their body in the way of a natural fluid golf swing. When you stand the proper distance from the ball, your arms and clubhead will swing down more naturally and unimpeded to hit the "sweet spot" of the clubhead. "Stand the Same Distance with All Clubs" and you will hit the ball more consistently solid to play your best golf!

This week, we catch up with Don on the iconic 16th hole at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda talking about the proper pivoting motion in the golf swing. Don sees too many golfers locking or adding additional bend in their right knee during the backswing resulting in the changing heights to the golf ball at the top. This change of bend in the right knee also negatively impacts the proper pivoting motion of the body forward during the downswing. When you "Maintain the Flex in the Right Knee" during the backswing, you will be in a proper balanced position and height to the golf ball at the top of the backswing to pivot forward on the downswing for more solid and pure golf shots. This week, we find Don having a little fun on the 13th Tee at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda talking about a poor impact position he sees quite often. Too many golfers apply force of their arms and hands at the start of the downswing resulting in their body being square at impact. This impact position looks much like golfers are peeing on their golf balls / peeing on trees and destroys the proper circle and release of the golf club at the bottom of the swing. When you feel the lower 1/2 (hips and legs) initiate the downswing by sliding into the target as the right-side turns, your hips will be open at impact for both straighter and longer golf shots. STOP PEEING ON YOUR GOLF BALL! https://youtu.be/omIdN-sqaOQ

From the famous Tucker's Point Golf Club on the beautiful island country of Bermuda, this week we catch up with Don highlighting the most important area of the golf swing (The Impact Area). The impact area is not the point of contact with the golf ball (That's Impact). The impact area is actually the 3 feet before impact, impact, and the three feet after impact. You will see many different swinging motions out on the PGA & LPGA Tours; however, the impact area is virtually the same amongst the best players of the world. If you practice the "Tee-to-Tee Drill" through the impact area, you will be releasing the club more like a Tour Player for better ball striking results.

From the iconic Port Royal Golf Club on the beautiful island country of Bermuda, this week we catch up with Don talking about balance in the golf swing to produce consistently solid golf shots. Too many golfers lean into the ball and get their weight on the toes at address. This out of balance position causes the spine angle to change during the golf swing producing poor shots. When you "Wiggle Your Toes" you will ensure the weight is on the balls of your feet to establish better balance throughout the golf swing for both solid and straighter golf shots.

From the beautiful island country of Bermuda in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, this week we find Don talking about the tempo of the swing to play better golf. Golfers can't swing it down too fast. We all want clubhead speed! Golfers get the sensation of swinging the club "too fast" from a quick, jerky backswing or a quick transition into the downswing. When you work on the "One-Two-Three Swing Drill", you will find yourself hitting the same great position at the top and swinging the club down faster through the impact area for both straighter and longer golf shots.
