Fellow AFF Members,
As the year draws to a close, we would like to start by saying thank you to you, our members for your support and contributions to the club this past year.
We entered 2023 facing two major obstacles. First, our bank account was so dangerously low that the ability of hiring monthly speakers or renting a meeting location was in question. With your membership fees, donations from various entities, Adult Fly Fishing Class and your amazing support of the Annual Luncheon and Pot Luck, we were able to overcome the deficit. It’s all because of you, our amazing members. Thank you
Secondly, we discovered that our nonprofit status was not in compliance with the Calif. Attorney Generals Office. With the diligent work of Treasurer Robert Chew, Secretary Tillman Sherman and Board Adviser Sharon Romano we are again in good standing.
After Covid, this past year has been a bit more normal for the club. We had a host of wonderful outings, insightful speakers at our members meetings, and opportunity to teach kids during our youth events.
We want to remind everyone about the Annual Dinner coming up on January 27, 2024, and the $10 discount for club membership renewal if postmarked prior to December 31, 2023. The Membership Application, Liability Waiver and Dinner Sign-up Form can be found on our website - www.amadorflyfishers.org.
Finally, we want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year!!
