We have six open spots for volunteers this Sunday and we would LOVE for you to spread the word! Three aid station volunteers and three course monitors will help us keep our runners hydrated and safe as they cruise along the course for the Orca Half & 8 miler. Volunteers receive 50% off their next Orca race for any shifts under 3 hours long, and a code for a free race if their shift is 3 hours or longer. Are you running on Saturday? Once you finish your vollie shift on Sunday, we can reimburse you for 50-100% of your race cost. How ‘bout that?

Come earn this b***y at Captain Jack’s Treasure Run on Sunday, October 25th in Redmond! Runners can choose to run a 5k, 8k, or 12k, and there’s a kids race for your littlest mateys, too. We’ll have free race photos, so wear your finest costume and strike a pose - our photographers will make sure to get your best side while you cruise through your miles. 🫶

ICYMI: Our Pumpkin Spice Run medal is ✨shimmery✨ this year, and every single runner (yes, including our kids race participants!) will receive one when they cross that finish line on October 11th.

This race is filled with fall family fun!! We’ll have a pumpkin festival with games and face painting, and a pumpkin decorating station hosted by Perfectly Porched. Don’t forget to pick up your pumpkin spice latte (or other festive beverage) and celebrate all of the flannel and knitwear, Uggs, and cozy vibes that the upcoming season brings!

We got the nicest update from our friends at GotSneakers this week! Our runners have brought in enough old running shoes to be recycled at our zero waste tent that we have collectively saved over 300,000 gallons of water in 2026! Do you think we can hit 500k by the end of the year? We’ve got 7 more races this year, so bring in your retired sneaks and let’s make it happen!

LAKE WASHINGTON HALF RACE TEE REVEAL

We’ve got your plans for October 17th locked and loaded, and you’re gonna love them. 💁🏼‍♀️

Meet us at Juanita Beach Park for an 8am race start, and cruise along the shore of Lake Washington admiring the views and the autumn leaves for 13.1 miles! We’ve got hills (you’re welcome), pacers from Run Super Series, free race photos, and a finish line filled with fun. Don’t miss REI Co-op’s post race hangout zone - they pull out all of the stops to make fall in the PNW absolutely magical. 🍁🍂

Can’t make it to Kirkland for race day but love the swag? There’s a virtual option so you can run the race on your own time and in your own location, and you’ll snag this tee and the gorgeous sparkly medal for your efforts!

IRON HORSE HALF presented by REI Co-op✅

Holy smokes, Orca fam, we are so proud of you! One thousand brave souls opted to stick with us through this year’s course reroute of the Iron Horse Half, and SO MANY OF YOU PR’d! Are you kidding? During a summer race on a course that started with runners heading uphill?!

Big thank you to Jeff (sailinger) & Ross (Ross) for cruising around the course to catch these snapshots today. We can’t wait to see your albums once they’re ready next week!

REI, your partnership has been a DREAM, and this race is the perfect one for the comfy post-race zones you provide, along with a ☀️timely☀️ make-your-own sunnies station. Thank you for being our #1 fans. We love you, too!

Thank you to Partners, A Tasteful Choice Company and the entire Costco snack aisle for the post-race carbs, and Iron Horse Brewery for donating the beer for our charity beer garden! The beer zone was hoppin’ today and we’re so grateful that our runners got to celebrate their races with the best of the best. 🫶

BEAT THE BLERCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We still have volunteer spots available at September 12th’s Beat the Blerch in Carnation, WA! Come join us for the burritoughnuttiest event in all the land. PUMPKIN SPICE RUN RACE TEE REVEAL

The cutest little squash you ever did see is running your way on Sunday, October 11th! If you’ve got Gilmore Girls queued up, are counting down the days until you can order a PSL, and are longing to pull out your flannels and Ugg boots, consider yourself booked.

Last year was our inaugural event, and we had so much fun that we’ve made it bigger and better for this year! Runners choose their distance, with a 1 mile, 5k and 10k option, along with a kids race and a stroller dash.
